Cosmetics Co. Recalls ‘Celebutard’ Lipsticks After Customers Show Outrage At Language
Sephora realized this was a bad idea only after customers objected.
The pink-hued Kat Von D lipstick, created by tattoo artist Katherine von Drachenberg, best known for her role in the TLC reality show LA Ink, is part a line of products sold at Sephora stores worldwide.
‘It has come to our attention that the name of one shade of a lipstick we carry has caused offense to some of our clients and others,’ a Sephora spokesperson said in a statement. ‘We are deeply sorry for that, and we have ceased sale of that shade both in our stores and online.’
