Charles “Chuck” Barry, 48, tried this twice, according to Pasco County sheriff’s deputies.

Barry went to the drive-thru of Dunkin’ Donuts in Trinity last week, said he was a law enforcement officer and asked for a discount on his order.

When the clerk refused to offer a discount, deputies said Barry held up a gun in its holster and said, “See, I’m a cop.”

The clerk said Barry never pointed the weapon at him or took it out of its holster…

The deputy who pulled him over said Barry was wearing his late father’s police badge from New Jersey and carrying a .38 caliber revolver in his front pocket…

…Barry was charged with one count of false impersonation of a law enforcement officer and improper exhibition of a firearm.
