Vincent Williams was pulled over in Fayetteville, NC for running a red light, and police found a controlled substance in the car, along with a crying 5-year-old boy.

According to, the boy told police officers, “My daddy only gave me this gun.”

When police removed the boy from his car seat, they found he had been sitting on a loaded .22-caliber handgun with the safety off.

Police say the gun had a round in the chamber and eight more rounds in the magazine, notes

Williams was wearing an empty gun holster at the time of his arrest and told police officers that he didn’t own a gun because he was a felon.
