GOP Candidate’s Campaign Headquarters Condemned
Rep. Steve Stockman, seeking to unseat Texas Senator John Cornyn, has been cited for having a campaign headquarters “unfit for habitation.” Workers had been literally living in his Webster, TX HQ, but Stockman has allowed his volunteers be in disgusting quarters.
The state of the living quarters are–in a word–disgusting. A bungee cord holds closed a freezer door of a refrigerator unit (also decorated with Stockman’s armed fetus bumpersticker) and old food sits below a George Foreman-type grill and a large hole punctuates the wall above a toilet that has clearly not been cleaned ever. I’ve seen squatters who have taken care of a location better than this.
