Utah Trying To Block Same-Sex Marriage Approval
Utah is asking an appeals court to overturn the approval of same-sex marriage there.
[The state wants] to keep counties from issuing same-sex marriage licenses while the state appeals the district court’s decision to strike down the ban on gay marriage.
Earlier Monday the district court denied the state’s request for a stay, and county clerks continued to issue licenses to same-sex couples.
