Arizona Woman Accidentally Shoots Husband
Melisah Havens told police she thought he was an intruder trying to burglarize her vehicle. Meanwhile, she shot him twice, in the chest and in the hand.
“Melisah told detectives she shot her husband because she thought he was going to burglarize her vehicle,” Sheriff Paul Babeu told KTVK. “She also said that he had taken her keys and was going to get milk. Melisah declined to provide any additional information after making these statements.”
The victim was taken to a local hospital and is in critical but stable condition, according to KTVK.
