NY Pol Resigns After Accusation Of Asking Aide To Dress As ‘Sexy Elf’
New York State Assemblyman Dennis Gabryszak has resigned after multiple staffers said he sexually harassed them.
…Gabryszak, a Democrat, is accused of creating a hostile work environment through lewd comments, suggesting that younger female aides share a hotel room with him and, in one instance, dress as a sexy elf.
Many Democrats had pressured Gabryszak—who until Sunday had not commented substantively on the storm of allegations—to either deny their veracity or resign. His resignation was confirmed in a statement by Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, a Manhattan Democrat.
