Trying to get into the White House by climbing the fence is generally not a good idea. Perhaps not everyone is aware that there’s a unit of government called the Secret Service.

The man tried to climb a fence on the Pennsylvania Ave. side of the White House but was apprehended by U.S. Park Police and uniformed Secret Service officers before he got onto the grounds, Secret Service spokesman Edwin Donovan said.

The man had two bags with him that D.C. police are screening, Donovan added.
