Republicans Stupidly Look To Rehash Lewinsky Scandal If Hillary Runs
What Republicans will do if they start to tar Hillary with Bill Clinton’s behavior is continue their war on women. Republican National Committee Chair Reince Priebus says “everything is on the table.” This comes on the heels of Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, himself a 2016 hopeful, referring to former President Clinton as a “sexual predator,” “gross” and “unsavory.”
You know what would be good to put “on the table?” Actual ideas that will move the country, and a one-time important political party forward. Being the party of “no” and dredging up a 15-year-old issue that was settled when the Republican Senate failed to convict President Clinton isn’t going to get Republicans elected. And whose business is it what goes on between consenting adults in their private lives? Furthermore, how the then-First Lady handled it is not something that should be used to drag her down.
