Student Shot And Wounded At North Carolina High School
It’s another school shooting because it’s another day ending in “y.” The Salisbury Post reports:
A female cousin told the Post the victim is Shaleek Williams, a member of the JV basketball team. She said he was shot once in the stomach and is expected to survive.
Two suspects ran from the scene, Collins said. There was only one shooter, according to a coach at the school.
A student who witnessed the shooting said Williams was breaking up a fight when the shooting occurred.
A coach who did not want to be identified witnessed the shooting and told the Post that it appeared the shooter was going to punch Williams. Williams went down and realized he had been shot.
