Fans of Michael Jackson distraught over his death won a symbolic victory in a French court.

Calling themselves the “Michael Jackson Community,” a group of fans has won a suit filed in France that maintained their feelings were damaged by the superstar’s death in 2009 from a drug overdose.

On Tuesday, a court in Orleans gave one euro each ($1.74) to five fans who sued Dr. Conrad Murray, the doctor who supplied Jackson with the powerful anesthetic propofol.
