Tom Brokaw Diagnosed With Cancer
The NBC newser says he was diagnosed in August with multiple myeloma, cancer affecting blood cells in bone marrow.
In a statement, published on NBCNews.com, Brokaw said he and physicians at the Mayo Clinic were very encouraged with his progress.
“With the exceptional support of my family, medical team and friends, I am very optimistic about the future and look forward to continuing my life, my work and adventures still to come,” Brokaw wrote.
