GOP Legislator Apologizes For Sexist Slur; Says He Didn’t Know What ‘Twat’ Meant
Virginia Republican Party treasurer Bob FitzSimmonds says he thought “twat” meant the same thing as “twaddle” after he used the word in a Facebook post.
FitzSimmonds posted: “I have nothing against Barbara Comstock but, I hate sexist twat.”
He later apologized claiming he thought the word he used had the same meaning as “twaddle.”
