Newborn Baby Found In Dumpster
An abandoned newborn, the umbilical cord still attached, was found by a Houston construction worker.
“I opened a white plastic garbage bag and saw the baby,” said Carlos Mitchel, 51, who heard the baby crying and went to investigate. “He was cold. Maybe hours old.”
After finding the baby in the dumpster, Mitchel informed his supervisor and took the baby to warm it up in a car.
A short time later, a 16-year-old girl was taken to a nearby hospital after admitting to abandoning her newborn baby. Authorities have yet to determine whether or not the teen will face any charges.
