Texas Man Shoots 9-Year-Old In Head During Illegal Target Practice
The man was illegally target shooting in his backyard.
…20-year-old Cristian Manzano was allegedly shooting at targets when one bullet went over a fence, through the neighbor’s window, and struck the girl in the head.
The girl was transported to Children’s Medical Center Dallas, where she was reportedly in critical condition on Sunday.
Neighbors told WFAA that there were four or five gunshots. After four men were questioned by authorities, Manzano was eventually charged with causing serious bodily injury to a child and discharging a firearm in city limits.
Manzano had been ordered to turn over a handgun as part of an earlier plea agreement, but it was not immediately clear if the same weapon was used in Saturday’s shooting.
