Woman Dies After Illegal Butt Injection
The woman was being treated by a New Jersey beautician in a Manhattan hotel room. The beautician left after 911 was called.
Tamira Mobley, 28, has been charged with manslaughter and assault in the death of Tamara Blaine, 22, who died July 8 after a rendezvous with Mobley for an illegal bottom-boosting procedure at the Liberty Hotel Inn, according to cops.
A worker at the 10th Avenue hotel had called 911 just before 12:30 p.m., and EMS arrived to find Blaine in the throes of what appeared to be a seizure.
Mobley was at the hotel when EMS arrived, police said — but she later vanished.
The medical examiner found two puncture marks on the victim’s buttocks, and a blood test found traces of silicone, a police source said.
