When asked for comment by 11Alive News, a spokesperson admitted that the team had just recently placed fireworks near the giant BravesVison high-def screen, and one of the fireworks hit the flag, burning holes in it before petering out on its own. “The Braves will no longer put pyrotechnics on the big screen,” they added.
