Texas Senator Ted Cruz says Attorney General Eric Holder should be impeached.

“Among other things, Congress should impeach Eric Holder because Eric Holder is defying Congress and defying rule of law,” Cruz said on conservative host Sean Hannity’s radio show on Thursday.

The freshman Tea Party senator said he was “very pleased” the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee voted to hold former IRS official Lois Lerner in contempt earlier in the day because of her refusal to answer lawmakers’ questions.

On Wednesday, the House Ways and Means Committee also voted to refer Lerner to the Justice Department due to her connection to the scandal.

Cruz argued the Justice Department hasn’t done much to investigate the agency’s efforts to target conservative advocacy groups in the 2010 and 2012 elections because of political reasons.

Holder is “the most partisan attorney general this country has ever had,” Cruz said.

Cruz, apparently, has never heard of Ed Meese or John Ashcroft.
