Embittered by his loss and showing it publicly, Mitt Romney says Republicans should fundraise off Benghazi because, he claims, without the Republican Party we wouldn’t be seeking the truth.

“I think what the Republicans have every right to say, and is fine to say, is if Republicans didn’t have the majority in Congress, there wouldn’t be an investigation into Benghazi,” he said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “There would not be an investigation into Benghazi, there would not be an investigation into the IRS if the Republicans didn’t have the House, so to say elect Republicans so we can have these investigations is appropriate.”

He also said former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s handling of the attack of the U.S. Consulate will be a liability for her in a potential 2016 presidential run, noting that relationships with countries around the world got worse during her time in the administration.

“This was not a good time for America,” he said. “It’s hard to think of a nation over the last four, five, six years that respects America, thinks more of America today than when President Obama took office.”

Imagine what Republicans would say if Democrats used deaths of raise money. And let’s not forget that Republicans used 9/11 to raise money, too. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/09/12/911-fundraiser-pete-sessions_n_958185.html

When the President called for new measures on gun control, Republicans accused him of “exploiting a tragedy”.

I could never understand how they came to that conclusion, until recently. It was a classic case of projection.

Republicans presumed the President was as morally bankrupt as they are. As we see with Benghazi, the GOP does not hesitate to exploit death for political purposes. Naturally they assume everyone else is equally degenerate.

North Carolina Republican Rep. Renee Ellmers said in a statement Wednesday that President Barack Obama is “exploiting a tragedy for political gain” and “attacking our legal rights” by issuing a sweeping new slate of gun control regulations, including 23 executive actions.

At a press conference Wednesday, standing in front of a handful of children, Obama called for a federal ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, as well as expanded background checks for all gun purchasers.

“President Obama is once again exploiting a tragedy for political gain and eroding our constitutional rights for the sake of an extreme liberal agenda,” Ellmers said in the statement

Cognitive dissonance is the right-wings greatest cognitive ability. If you take that away there is isn’t much left.

Wonder if some of the questions, by the Kangaroo Court, will be ‘WHY do you think that the REPUBLICAN LED CONGRESS voted to DECREASE funds for SECURITY for our embassies, and do you think that may have contributed to the deaths of our 4 Americans”????..

….. and WHY after 6 HEARINGS by Republicans do you feel you must continue to beat a dead horse?….

Think the tea party darling will ask those questions?…

Not a chance. It is all about their political narrative.

the dimwit is mistaken – many countries rejected the usa when l’il bush and dickhead were in office – some are coming back to respect some part of the states today because of the present man in the white house.

so, if Republican FAILED Candidate Romney had been elected by a landslide there would have been no reason to make money off the 4 (four) (FOUR) dead Americans in BENGHAZI !!!.
which is an honest way of saying the PARTISAN POLITICAL witch hunt is about seeking the greedy Bishop’s definition of ‘truth’ , eg: DEPOSITS in offshore bank accounts.?

When you honor it, it bolsters your esteem among your fellow citizens. When you use it to obfuscate reality, its bite can really hurt ya, huh.

True. Or 50+ attempts to repeal the ACA at $1.5 million per copy, or a government shutdown, or the denial of SNAP assis….and the list goes on. Give him his due, he at least started with the truth.
