I wonder what it will take for these people realize that they are a distinct, extreme minority that most Americans, even those who often vote Republican, do not agree with.
Their arrogance is the main reason I am deriving extra enjoyment from these people having to face reality. I mean everyone has the right to express their opinions. But when you start to claim that you are speaking for the “American people” when the fact is you are speaking for a tiny minority, that is where I have an issue.
This is my country just as much as it is the country of any of these OAS folks. So when I hear them talk about “taking back” their country, I hear the death throes of a tiny, extremist minority realizing that it is futile for them to take the advice they have condescendingly dispensed to others for years, if not generations;
e.g. if you do not like the way things are going in this country, try winning some elections.
Take your own advice OAS. And if you cannot win at the ballot box, that should tell you that it is not just “your” country and you have no right to “take” it from anyone.

As an active duty military member living in the DC area, I have to admit that I was tempted to show up to this rally in dress uniform, verbally let these mentally challenged people know how idiotic their ideas were, and then dare them all to tell me how unpatriotic I am (seeing as how I signed up to serve my country for the last 18 years, and I guarantee 90% of them never have). The only thing that stopped me is the fact that I would have gotten in trouble with the military for doing so, as they (rightly) tend to take issue with members that speak on their behalf without going through proper channels first.

It’s understandable and extremely fun to make jokes and poke fun at these idiots, however there is a serious underbelly to this. It would be nice if there were journalists out there investigating the real reasons why they made this claim for millions in the first place. It looks like it’s a con job to motivate people for their next big rally or the one after that. This was an attempt to re surge the dying Tparty. probably just the first step. There has to be some big Koch brother type money behind it just like before.
