    Citizens United put our democracy up for sale to the highest bidder. Distinctions between party organizations and independent groups are artificial and meaningless. Logically, there is no justification for allowing a group called Big BizPAC to raise and spend unlimited sums of money to buy elections, but deny a party organization the right to do so. I understand and share the instinct to try to hold back the flood, but at this point there are too many holes in the dam and not enough fingers. Our democratic experiment is over. Money controls everything and will continue to do so. It was over as soon as the Wise Ones decided that money equals speech.
