If only schools forced children to pray, says Rafael Cruz, teen pregnancy and crime would be a thing of the past. “The church should be influencing” every area of society,he intones. But which church, eh?

“The church should be influencing the media, should be influencing arts and entertainment, sports, education, business and, yes, government,” he added, just so happening to list five of the seven pillars of Seven Mountains Dominionism.

To illustrate this, Cruz listed various instances where he claims the “church remained silent”: the 1963 ruling eliminating government-sponsored prayer in schools, because of which, he claimed, “teen pregnancy skyrocketed and violent crime skyrocketed”; Roe v. Wade; and the Supreme Court’s decision striking down part of the Defense of Marriage Act, which he said led to the “erosion of the traditional family.”

Not sure about pregnancy but prayer may cause stupidity.

If the Cruz clan hates the freedoms guaranteed to ALL of us in the Bill of Rights and Constitution then they should have emigrated to a theocracy.

    • fahvel May 24th, 2014 at 3:34 am

heaven or hell are the only pure theocracies I know of – which would accept the Cruz”?

      • M D Reese May 24th, 2014 at 12:37 pm

Since they’re both imaginary fantasy places, they would be ideal homes for him and his ilk.

I’m still trying to figure out how he got here on a Student Visa? And how he managed to leave the US and go to work in Canada?

There are many questions about the Cruz Clan that need answering.

Let’s get Issa on it. I think he’s on a “time out” right now…

Fidel Castro’s Nutbar & the Dominions Ted Cruz Sr says Mary mother of Jesus’ teen pregnancy occurred because of no school prayer!

School prayer is ALLOWED in US Schools via SCOTUS 1971 “Lemon test” stating that in order to be constitutional under the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment any practice sponsored within state run schools (or other public, state sponsored activities) must adhere to the following three criteria:[12]

    1. Have a secular purpose;
    2. Must neither advance nor inhibit religion; and
    3. Must not result in an excessive entanglement between government and religion. As usual RWNJ’s are always wrong on everything and Wrong for America per the U.S. Constitution Bill of Rights!

    • Dwendt44 May 25th, 2014 at 12:10 am

Just as important if not more, is that anyone can pray to themselves anytime and anywhere they wish. The big grip is the religious right wants to make an ‘official’ practice taking in everybody and thereby getting or at least giving the impression that Christianity is the ‘official’ religion.

  5. fahvel May 24th, 2014 at 3:33 am

The Church????? and that is???? and also, who/what/why is this man paid attention to????

    • BanditBasheert May 24th, 2014 at 9:03 pm

Because his son is the reincarnation of Joe McCarthy – he even looks like Joe McCarthy! And he thinks like Joe McCarthy.
      And his citizenship is questionable.

      So is his sanity.

Interesting. There are 30,861 private religious schools or 24% of all schools. Teen pregnancies and crime didn’t skyrocket, it’s always been, however there are more of us. Cruz Sr is a true believer – and as such willing to scheme, manipulate, and brainwash all in his path in the name of his cause. Of course if his son hadn’t won an election, only 3 people would be aware of Sr’s religious obsession.

    • BanditBasheert May 24th, 2014 at 9:02 pm

His wife knew – she blew out of there a long time ago. Obviously Pappy Cruz is about 2 bottles short of a 6 pack.
      Delusional is an understatement.

  7. Budda May 24th, 2014 at 9:17 am

Ted’s dad was not the most stable person in his life…….or was he?

    • BanditBasheert May 24th, 2014 at 9:01 pm

His mom divorced that nut years ago, which is why Cruz’s citizenship is so tied up in knots. Cruz was born in Canada – his father (the nutbag) became a citizen in 2005 (although he came to the US in 1978).
There is something very murky about all of this – and there is some reason why Cruz is dragging his feet.

      • Obewon May 24th, 2014 at 11:30 pm

In order for Ted Cruz to relinquish his Canadian Citizenship he must prove that he’s not crazy. Based on a vast number of statements on the public record that’s seemingly impossible to deny that he’s a delusional disorder paranoid e.g. ‘I just found out I am Canadian’. Other questions may include if Ted’s mom was legally able to convey US Citizenship: The U.S. citizen parent or grandparent must have been physically present in the U.S. for five years before the child’s birth, at least two of which were after age fourteen for the naturalization process “and to recite the oath of allegiance.” If Cruz Sr claimed to be a ‘foreign diplomat’ Jr is screwed.

Well now that we have prayer in school issue settled, we must determine just which god our children pray to?

  9. Bob Amsel May 24th, 2014 at 10:32 pm

Compared to the old fart,Ted Cruz seems almost sane but not quite enough.
