And by “beloved,” I mean he was voted out of office. West spoke at the Republican Leadership Conference.

“I’m praying on whether to run for president, and I have discussed the possibility with my wife and family,” he said.

“But the country is not about me,” West added. “It’s about making sure the Republican Party comes out of the mid-term elections this year controlling the House and Senate. After that, we can focus on who should be living at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.”

Democrats respond, “Oh please, oh please, oh please …”

  6. Shootist June 3rd, 2014 at 7:14 pm

The progs in the GOP are scared scared scared of this man. They are so scared of him that they redrew his district and give it to Alan Grayson.

The lily livered democrats among you? Do you know this man’s story? How he save a squad from ambush and death and was “retired” from the Army for doing so?

I honor him for his combat conduct but that has no bearing whatever on the disgraceful and extreme way he has conducted himself as a civilian politician. He is one of the nastiest latter-day McCarthyites and extremists around and he possibly thinks he’ll get a pass from reasonable people because of skin color.

      • Shootist June 4th, 2014 at 1:34 pm

        extreme? extreme compared to who?

        • Elliot J. Stamler June 4th, 2014 at 7:05 pm

Every normal, sane, thoughtful, decent-mouthed American including a number of Republicans I could mention. You call yourself shootist–why?–itching to shoot someone?

          • Shootist June 4th, 2014 at 11:27 pm

No. You show me a policy that is “extreme”. Pol Pot was extreme. Mao was extreme.

Was FDR extreme? Does West not support everything FDR did in the New Deal? Even Reagan supported the New Deal.

Does West want to bring back slavery? That would be extreme.

Explain to me what makes West “extreme”.

I am a Shootist. I shoot, often. Firearms of all kinds. It’s what I do.

Making bullsh*t claims without a shred of evidence to back it up, other than his own bizarre view of the world, qualifies as extreme in my book.

Republican Rep. Allen West says many congressional Democrats are Communists

          • Shootist June 5th, 2014 at 10:29 am

You don’t agree that most Congressional democrats would like nothing more than to control the means of production?

I certainly believe that democrat politicians are more Marxist than they are followers of Adam Smith. Hence their support for Union Thuggery, for instance.

          • arc99 June 5th, 2014 at 10:47 am

I don’t care what you believe, including BS about “thuggery”. Your misconceptions are not my problem or the issue under discussion.

Lying about colleagues in Congress is extreme behavior.

          • Shootist June 5th, 2014 at 11:09 am

You claim extreme. I say he isn’t extreme if his views are in the mainstream, which they are.

I didn’t see Republican Political Leaders supporting Bundy. They ran from him as fast as they could go. But Bundy is special do to the machinations of Harry Reid and his son, the Chinese solar company, ei. al. bidness as usual.
