If it’s a day ending in “y” there must be a gun story gone very very bad.

A South Carolina man says he was cleaning his 12-gauge shotgun when it discharged and accidentally killed his wife. According to Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler, 59-year-old Rita Pennington died at the scene of the shooting around 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Fowler says Pennington’s husband, Dean, told investigators his shotgun accidentally fired, according to WYFF.

As Anomaly asks:

Is cleaning a loaded gun a thing now? Was he the good guy with a gun? It’s hard to keep up with all of these ‘accidental shootings’ lately.

Wait a minute. Guns are inanimate objects and guns don’t kill people, so obviously the poor woman was killed by something else. Sorry ass husband trying to blame it on a gun. How utterly ridiculous.
