Drunk, He Accidentally Kills Cousin With Sawed-Off Shotgun
Someday we’ll figure out that guns and drinking don’t mix. Someday we’ll figure out that guns and humans don’t mix.
A North Carolina man is accused in the accidental shooting death of his cousin. It was just after 11:00 p.m. on Monday, June, 9th, that Rowan County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the scene of a possible shooting.
Officers arrived to find 23-year-old Roy Jacob Bryant suffering from a shotgun wound. He was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later, according to WCNC.
Investigators say that Bryant and his 22-year-old cousin, Timothy Scott Glover, had been drinking liquor that night and Glover had reportedly been in possession of a shotgun.
Upon further investigation, authorities determined that Glover, who was intoxicated, was “carelessly” handling the shotgun when it discharged, delivering a fatal blow into Bryant’s body.

Another case of an inanimate object becoming quite animated.

if only that inanimate object was a wooden spoon

Be grateful it wasn’t a match!
The top 10 largest mass murders in the world were done with a lighter, or a match, by way of homicidal arson.
And the single largest school massacre, was done with a stick of TNT.
It ain’t the guns…it’s you.
Other nations have on the same order of magnitude of firearm ownership, only they seem to (mostly) avoid the carnage.
Address inner-city poverty, inequality, opportunities for abused women, and your failed war on drugs, and watch your gun deaths plummet.
Or, continue to poke a stick in Bubba’s eye, thinking that will help.
it may feel good to target the southern right wingers and their AR-15s, but they’re not the one’s shooting the crap out of each other.

Um…no?
The inanimate object was misused by a drunk.
Not even a “nice try”…

“”Someday we’ll figure out that guns and drinking don’t mix. Someday we’ll figure out that guns and humans don’t mix.””
Non sequitur…
Drinking and driving ‘don’t mix”, but humans and cars do fine for the most part…expect for numerous vehicular homicides and suicide-by-car, which don’t seem to make the same headlines as a gun accident.
