Republicans Now Attacking IRS Commish For Being A Democrat
IRS head John Koskinen is now being questioned about his political leanings.
Over the past 30 years, Koskinen has given more than $100,000 to Democratic causes, according to FEC filings. But the government veteran downplayed his political activity, telling CNN’s Wolf Blitzer on Thursday, “I’ve never been a partisan operative, a political operative.”
“I was actually asked by the Bush administration to come in and work on Freddie Mac,” he said in an interview that aired on “The Situation Room.”…
Asked by Blitzer whether a criminal investigation was warranted, Koskinen replied: “I don’t think … at this time there’s any evidence of that.”

Its not that Koskinen is a Democrat per se, its the attitude he showed to his inquisitors highlighted with his smile that pisses-off the Republicans.

Funniest trying this week seas Lyin’ Paul Ryan calling Mr Koskinen a liar. Did he think that one up when he was running one of his record breaking marathons?

Koskinen is no liar. He has been massively lied TO, but doesn’t know and doesn’t WANT to know what the lies are and who the bad actors are. That way he can wear out the GOP with mostly truthful statements. Pretty good tactics, I’d say.
When the backup tapes containing the Lerner emails turn up, and they will, he can say with a straight face, “I had no idea. I was told …. yadda yadda…”.
Notice the passive voice; you’ll hear a lot of it in the weeks and months to come.
