The shooting happened at 2:45 AM Sunday morning in the French Quarter.

The victims have been taken to a local hospital. One is in critical condition; the other six are in stable condition, Robertson said. The victim in critical condition is an unidentified woman, according to WDSU.

The 700 block, where the shooting occurred, is a popular gathering place for tourists and revelers, where many of them pack bars and clubs between St. Peter and St. Ann Streets. Crowds often spill into the streets.

The solution to this is simple – we should arm all drunken revelers so they can defend themselves.

    “Busted flat in Baton Rouge,
    Livin’ in a trailer
And I’s feelin’ I’s got some inbred fuckin’ genes
Bobby’s a dumb little clown, and we hitchhiked later
It rode us all the way to New Orleans

Freedom is just another word for
    Something fun to shoot
Shootin’, don’t mean nothin’ hon’ if it ain’t free, no no
And, shootin’ folks was easy, Lord, when he didn’t brush his teeth
You know, baggin’ good was good enough for me
Good enough for me and the Tea Party”

NOLA is one of the most dangerous cities in the world, far more dangerous than Chicago, with more than 2.5 times as many killed per 100,000. Sorry, GOP trolls. But it’s true. In fact, St. Louis, MO, is almost twice as dangerous as Chicago. You can’t look at raw numbers. Ratios tell the whole story.
