We shouldn’t make fun of earlier, heathen civilizations, says conservative icon Dr. Ben Carson, as we are a heathen nation that kills babies.

Carson, who has no problem endorsing candidates who support abortion rights in order to win votes, was responding to a comment by host Perry Atkinson who said that if America could just end abortion then “all of the other things that God would be interested in helping us with would fall into alignment.”

“It’s interesting,” Carson said, “that we sit around and call other ancient civilizations ‘heathen’ because of human sacrifice, but aren’t we actually guilty of the same thing?”

Y’all are just hating on Dr. Carson because he’s black, right?

    • Roctuna July 1st, 2014 at 2:49 pm

No, because he says stupid things

      • R.J. Carter July 1st, 2014 at 2:54 pm

Nuh-uh! When I say that about the President, I’m always told that I’m really saying it because he’s black.

        • Roctuna July 1st, 2014 at 3:42 pm

Nuh-uh, you generally frame your statements with some kind of racial innuendo, race-baiting, a racial reference such as “he’s black right?” to make your intent more clear. If Dr. Carson were to ever say anything intelligent in public, I have no doubt that we at LL would acknowledge it, but it hasn’t happened yet.

Likewise for the President and we in the conservative movement.

I thought Ted Cruze and Dr, Carson were the same color? They sure do sound alike and they have that same tone when they whine……….YOU MEAN THEY AREN’T BROTHERS??? All this time I thought Dr. C was white………….wow

Stupidity and greed have no color or gender

I just read what he said. His color was invisible to me, till you brought it up.

    • Suzanne McFly July 1st, 2014 at 5:17 pm

He’s BLACK?!?!?! Damn, I got it right this time, come to find out I voted for a black man not once but TWICE. I guess I should of looked for pictures before I voted. lol

      • neworleans878 July 1st, 2014 at 5:39 pm

I realized he’s black shortly after the election when Rush said I voted for him because of white guilt.

        • Bunya July 2nd, 2014 at 2:44 pm

See what happens when you don’t listen to Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck? I’ll bet you also didn’t know he was a Kenyan born, commie socialist whose also a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, hell bent on changing the words on U.S. currency from, “In God We Trust” to “Death To America! in Allah We Trust”.

      • Bunya July 2nd, 2014 at 2:46 pm

C’mon! You voted for Obama because he has a nice ass.

This is how the idiot anti-choicers fire up their base. They compare abortion to the holocaust (which, in itself, is a slap in the face to people who actually survived the holocaust), Planned Parenthood staff to Nazis, and doctors to Hitler or Mengele. This strategy works really well on the feeble minded and low effort thinkers.
Before you know it, some dunce who is listening to this crap pictures, in his mind, a doctor going into a hospital nursery and lopping heads off newborns. This dunce then kills the doctor, thinking he’s saving babies and solving the problem.
Whether they realize it or not, people like Ben Carson are actually destroying the anti-choice movement with this type of rhetoric. Because of this type of behavior, the “pro-life” movement is now perceived as being violent and aggressive.

    • Suzanne McFly July 1st, 2014 at 5:14 pm

Exactly, when your arguments are where you feel you can compare another human to Hitler, you have just buried any logical debate that could have occurred. It is the rwnj’s that are making us a nation with only one sensible political party, the other party is made up of nuts that I would not trust to pick up dog poop in the dog park.

  4. OrdinaryBloke July 1st, 2014 at 5:29 pm

I wonder, was Carson being “pro-life” when he hit his own mother with a hammer? Stabbed his own friend nearly to death?

  5. Lamblike Beast July 1st, 2014 at 5:42 pm

Being black is important. The secret of his popularity among conservatives: they can think of him as the anti-Obama. But black people never survive in the Republican party. Something always takes them down. See Steele, Michael.
