Pit Bulls Maul 4 Year Old Girl.
Police shot and killed the pit bulls after the New Brunswick, NJ attack.
“When I heard what happened all I could think was, ‘Oh my gosh, my baby,’” said Quadirah Banks.
Banks raced to the home on Luftbarry Avenue where her daughter, 4-year-old Harmony Halyer, was mauled by two pit bulls while staying with a family friend.
Her uncle Richard Bailey said she suffered serious wounds.
“She had some bite marks on her little cheeks, her hands, arms, across her head,” he said.
The little girl’s father said she was put in a medically induced coma, but is expected to pull through.

The guy in my pic was a Pitt that I “rescued”. He was used as a bait dog, he was muzzled as other dogs attacked him. It was a lot of work, I have other dogs that he tried to attack, but I love him with all my heart. Once he was physically healed, he was surrounded by love till the day he passed. It took a couple months to earn his trust and once I had it, he never forgot it. When I hear these stories, my heart breaks, they can be the best dogs, the people are responsible (and need to be held responsible) for their actions while raising these beautiful animals.

Pit bulls need extra care and handling to be good dogs and they can be very good dogs. They can also be very bad if not handled correctly. IMO, only very responsible people that love animals should have pit bulls, they just take more care and love than other breeds, to be the great dogs they can be.
