America’s Top Terrorist Threat: ‘Sovereign Citizens’
Karoli has the report that has “ranked various terrorist threats in terms of the perception of those that pose the greatest current national security risks. Sovereign citizens topped the list, shifting from Islamic extremists in prior years.” (PDF)
Law enforcement is much more concerned about sovereign citizens, Islamic extremists, and militia/patriot group members compared to the fringe groups of the far right, including Christian Identity believers, reconstructed traditionalists (i.e., Odinists), idiosyncratic sectarians (i.e., survivalists), and members of doomsday cults. In fact, sovereign citizens were the top concern of law enforcement, but the concern about whether most groups were a serious terrorist threat actually declined for most groups (e.g., the KKK; Christian Identity; Neo-Nazis; Racist Skinheads; Extremist Environmentalists; Extreme Animal Rights Extremists).
I would argue that there’s very little daylight between the self-dubbed sovereign citizens like Cliven Bundy and the groups they mention in the first paragraph. I think it’s a mistake to separate the two and pretend there’s no overlap, particularly in the context of law enforcement agency perceptions.

Is that the report the rightwing made a big stink over and Obama folded and withdrew almost everybody keeping an eye on rightwing groups? That really sucks. Right now if you’re a liberal group like for example a Save the Whales organization or a group dedicated to woman’s health or working people you’re much more likely to have the CIA keeping an eye on you than the rightwing militia down the street that holds meetings on how to overthrow the government

As I have said on several occasions, should the sad day ever come that I have to use my firearm against another human being, I think it is far more likely that it will be against one of these far right wing extremists, as opposed to any agent of federal or state government.

Both parties are not equally corrupt. If you are going to begin with a false premise your conclusions are more than likely going to be wrong. There is corruption in both the republican and democratic parties, however, the republicans seem to be encouraging it and the democrats are trying to remove it and clean things up as much as possible. That is an awfully big difference. We do need to stress that all ordinary Americans should be on the look-out for the corrupting influence of the Oligarchy that thrive on instability and don’t owe allegiance to any country. When you can ground yourself in reality and see things more more clearly come back and we might take your opinions more seriously. Right now though you sound more like a crazy person shouting crazy stuff to get attention, your points where they are valid are being drowned out by the stupid.
