25 responses to Liz Cheney: Americans Who Tortured Detainees Are ‘Heroes’ And ‘Patriots’

She’s such a cowardly woman. Torturing detainees is easier than taking the legal and just route.

  2. NW10 August 3rd, 2014 at 8:56 am

Give me the cloth, water jug, the board, and let me pour water down Liz Cheney’s nose. We’ll see if she’ll still defend waterboarding as not torture after just one second.

    • wpadon August 3rd, 2014 at 9:17 am

A couple of days of it and Cheney will admit to crimes that occurred before she was born.

  3. MIAtheistGal August 3rd, 2014 at 8:58 am

Hero: a person, typically a man, who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.

Patriot: a person who vigorously supports their country and is prepared to defend it against enemies or detractors.

I don’t believe Cheney understands either of these definitions. Torture is not ok. It’s not ok when others do it and it’s not ok when we do it. Only in America can a person be vilified more for pointing out torture that someone else perpetrated than the actual torturer!

I was wondering what color the sky was on her planet; then I remembered who and what her father is. The sky is fire. And brimstone. The Cheneys are some of the most evil people this country has been subjected to. As long as you don’t call it torture, it isn’t. Right.

Liz Cheney thinks that torturers are heroes and patriots, in addition, she thinks that President Obama is a disgrace. Why is this considered news?

Yak all you want harpy, but the entire world knows your father is a war criminal.

  8. Cosmic_Surfer August 3rd, 2014 at 9:30 am

Wow, Liz – so Obama is a Hero and a patriot? He continued Bagram; Refuses to allow habeas corpus and due process; allows and supports the force feeding of detainees and the use of isolation; continues to deny all human and civil rights …He must be as great as your daddy

    • jasperjava August 3rd, 2014 at 11:19 am

Obama “continues to deny all human and civil rights”?

You’re as ludicrous as the teabaggers.

Obviously, you haven’t been paying attention –
        1) Chelsea manning
        2) Guantanamo – force feeding detainees; constant genital inspections (up to 7 times just walking to meet their attorney down a hall), use of isolation for no reason other than as abusive measure just cuz;…That is simply a few – I can get into the lying to detainees and attorneys, denial of ability of attorneys to meet with their clients and the search and seizure of case documents (that are required by law to be left alone)aforementioned
        23) NSA spying
        4) Murder of US citizens without Due Process
        4) Drone slaughter
        5) Free speech zones still in effect
        shall I keep going?

Her Jesus must be so proud (sniff).

  11. Suzanne McFly August 3rd, 2014 at 10:34 am

Does this twit realize that torture puts our soldiers at risk even more so than without torture? Torture provides little to no substantive information but it creates more enemies who hate us. How does a person wake up one day and decide, “hmmm, torture, that is what hero’s do?”. Damn skank needs to go away and stay away.

  12. craig7120 August 3rd, 2014 at 10:41 am

She would be a great spokesperson for the group Isis, talk tough, support torture. Anyone else notice how tough that group is? I mean they don’t take on the real enemy, Israel or the U.S. No, they made a sharp right, right into a war torn country.
Does remind me what a Cheney would do, the gop and their leaders are some mixed up folk.

  13. Larry Schmitt August 3rd, 2014 at 11:17 am

Because torturing is the American thing to do, doncha know.

  14. William August 3rd, 2014 at 11:51 am

Cheney’s Halliburton made 31 billion on no bid contracts to rebuild a nation that was bombed into rubble over WMD’s that never existed. The photos from the war have been a rallying point for terrorists everywhere. http://brainz.org/10-most-iconic-photographs-war-iraq/

Liz Cheney should be ashamed of her family name.

  15. arc99 August 3rd, 2014 at 12:04 pm

No, Ms. Cheney.. It is you who is despicable.

Perhaps it’s about time the World Court weigh in on this issue.

  19. EdwardWJones August 4th, 2014 at 6:17 pm

Lis needs to be in a war crimes court with her father at least for a month or two, let a few of our ‘water board’ experts visit her a time or two and she will change her tune. George and dick need a life sentence as war criminals.
