James Woods, the actor and Twitter user, who sends out links to WorldNetDaily and other brain trust sites, thought he’d weigh in on the situation in Iraq and, of course, ISIS, which is all Obama’s fault. The problem Woods refers to has everything to do with the Bush administration, and nothing to do with President Obama.

Woods’ claim is rated “false.”

The right wing media claimed that Obama released the current head of ISIS from government custody in 2009. That’s accurate only if Obama has access to the TARDIS.

RedState.com reported,”The leader of the ISIS, the al Qaeda affiliated terrorist group that is rampaging through Sunni Iraq, was released from US custody in 2009.”

According to Politifact, the legal contract between the United States and Iraq that guaranteed that the United States would give up custody of virtually every detainee was signed during the Bush administration.

We shall wait for James Woods to rectify that tweet in 3…2…

It would have required an extraordinary effort to have held on to Baghdadi and there is no evidence that he was on anyone’s radar screen, assuming that he was in custody at all in 2009.

The U.S.-Iraq agreement drove the release of thousands of detainees in 2009, but Obama had nothing to do with that.

What’s really sad here is that it would have taken Mr. Woods less than a second to Google the facts.

Please proceed, James.

    Hmmmm.
James Woods……..James Woods……doesn’t ring a bell. No, wait! wasn’t he in CHiPs?

  2. fesarius888 August 9th, 2014 at 7:46 pm

James wanted to launch nukes on 9-11. I’m not sure what country he wanted to hit. What could go wrong?

    • tiredoftea August 9th, 2014 at 9:14 pm

It’s the launching that counts, not the targeting.

      • Hirightnow August 9th, 2014 at 9:17 pm

It could be Saudi Arabia, but then, who would have funded the concurrent war?

    I have no morals.

That is the correct way to state his “thoughts”!

“I am often criticized for lying …” There, James. fixed it for ya!

  5. labman57 August 9th, 2014 at 8:01 pm

As the late Senator Moynihan observed, people — even ignorant blowhards such as James Woods — are entitled to their own opinions, but not their own facts.

  6. Daniel Jacobsen August 9th, 2014 at 8:29 pm

And he has a high IQ ???!!!!??

    • majii August 9th, 2014 at 10:37 pm

I’ve read that he has a very high IQ, too, Daniel, but he’s abusing it by posting stupid sh*t on Twitter that comes off as if it were written and tweeted by an idjit.

    • Matt Peters August 10th, 2014 at 6:23 am

High IQ has little to do with actual knowledge and understanding. He just won’t use his natural reasoning skills.

    • consneverwork August 10th, 2014 at 8:02 pm

He used to date Sean Young, but I read he knocked her around a lot. The guy’s nuts.

Soon to be appearing on the Victoria Jackson Show where James and Vicky debate why Obama lost the South when he signed the 1964 Civil Rights law! Special appearance by Rand Paul.

I love the Teabilly, simply awesome-sauce he is. I’ve been following Liberal America for a while now. Maybe Woods and Victoria Jackson should do a movie together in a remake of “A Birth Of A Nation”. Meanwhile, in James’ World you see this:

I’d have a difficult time of it if, say, Christopher Walken did this…
    (“The thing is,….Obama!…doesn’t seem concerned…with…the Constitution. It’s madness…and…not a…good thing!”)
But this is just James Woods.

Borrowing something I read about the ACA the other day, if President Obama is such a lousy President, why do his critics have to lie constantly about his record?

    • burqa August 9th, 2014 at 9:38 pm

      Ding!

      An absolutely good question!

Shooting Videodrome really affected James Woods’ brain beyond repair, unless you the video marked intelligent thought into his stomach.

  12. Linda1961 August 9th, 2014 at 9:53 pm

I admire his restraint in not accusing Obama of assassinating the Archduke and starting WWI. That is about the only thing the wingnuts haven’t accused Obama of doing.

Wasn’t Kenya on the side of the Serbs?…..

      • RK Johnston August 10th, 2014 at 1:29 am

I believe Kenya was an Imperial German colony until after WWI.

Give them time. They hadn’t thought of that one until you brought it up. Thanks.

This douche bag has also said that since President Obama entered office, his career has taken a downturn. If his career is on the decline, it’s not because of this president, it’s because he’s revealed himself to be a nut in the style of Ted Nugent, and studio heads, producers, and probably some actors, don’t want their names to be associated with his, and I don’t blame them.

    • fahvel August 10th, 2014 at 2:53 am

he’s not the only hollywood personality who has been set adrift by the industry for their too far right mouths.

    • consneverwork August 10th, 2014 at 7:59 pm

      Probably not worth having around.

    • Rebecca Smith August 11th, 2014 at 4:20 pm

Not coincidentally, Woods is also past his expiration date, and frankly, he’s never been leading man material. Maybe jumping onto the “Oh, poor, persecuted me” bandwagon with Shit-My-Pants McGee there makes it easier for him to cope with aging in Hollywood. Actresses over forty say, “cry me a river, you reptile.”

James Woods would be better off, if he at least “acted” like a reasonable human being.

  17. khallacy August 10th, 2014 at 10:02 am

  20. Rebecca Smith August 11th, 2014 at 4:18 pm

James Woods’ face looks as if it caught on fire and was put out with a track shoe. The next time he wonders why he’s not working, perhaps he’d better look in a mirror?
