A photo which is being shared on social media that appears to show an off-duty LAPD officer brandishing a weapon while driving a vehicle is being investigated by authorities.

The photo, taken from an adjacent vehicle, shows a woman in a Blue Chevy Tahoe pointing a gun toward another driver’s vehicle in what some are saying could be part of road rage incident, but authorities could not confirm that, according to ABC.

Officials with Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that the woman in the photo is an off-duty police officer but did not release her name.

Damn lucky she wasn’t a Black male in a wally w/a toy gun, she could have gotten herself shot.

I bet this creates more problems than it solved, if it solved anything at all.

Serious question…. if you were the driver at whom the weapon was pointed, what action would you take?

When it happened to me, I ducked and turned the car in a different direction and went to the nearest phone and called the police and gave them a description of the vehicle. They were pulled over an hour later with three weapons in the car and arrested.

Can’t make any call on this one without knowing the whole story. If the woman felt threatened and her life was in danger by another driver, she may have been justified in brandishing the weapon.
