In Ferguson, Missouri last night, seven people were arrested and one person was shot on the first night of the imposed curfew, as police and protesters clashed again in a haze of tear gas.

Scant details have been revealed as to who the shooter was. Gov. Jay Nixon said on Sunday that no police officers fired their guns during or after the protest.[su_center_ad]

This video was posted on Facebook by Haiku Unsung Hero and I uploaded it to YouTube, since details are sketchy and the police department has not been forthcoming.

The following video footage is rough, but the reality of the situation comes through loud and clear. The puddle of blood littered in the street from the unknown victim and the screams brings home the reality of what’s going on in Ferguson.

Watch:

At the end of the video, the man who took the video can be heard trying to get the injured party help in the midst of the chaos.

The ferguson protesters are are attempting to rectify the injustice of a white cop shooting an unarmed black kid in the back by shooting one another. Now I understand,

Of course no police around to help with the injured man because they are blocks over firing tear gas at the protesters. I sure hope this guy doesn’t die and can identify his assailant.

I take it you’re the one who complained to YouTube? May I ask why the video was taken, then added to Facebook and circulated then?

I’ll remove it within the 48 hours YouTube allowed me but I have to wonder why you want to impede justice.

We can’t see the victim’s face so your thoughts about his family may sound kind but they don’t really make sense IMO.

No, I promise I did not complain to youtube. I assumed you would be responsive to my respectful request because I believe you only mean well by posting the video.

The video was taken by someone not connected to the shooting victim. It was taken with the best of intentions, and when we approached the gentleman about taking it down from facebook, he was very respectful and understanding about taking it down. You can see the video is not posted there any more. Feel free to ask him, he took it down of his own free will at our request.

It’s true you can’t see my friend’s face, but there is other personally identifying information in the video and we would really like for that not to be public. Thank you for your understanding in these difficult times.

Oh I plan to take it down because I’m forced to after the complaint was filed.

I feel awful for your friend, who has not been named so far in the press which I find extremely odd.

          I wish him well.

I’ll take it down at some point today.

There will be no justice in Ferguson apparently. No vital information will be released to the public.

We live in very sad times indeed. You win. Ferguson loses.

          It’s been taken down.
