Pro-Russian rebels in eastern Ukraine shot down a Ukrainian government MiG-29 fighter jet in the Luhansk region, according to a military spokesperson quoted by Reuters.     It would be interesting if they could prove forensically that the type of rocket that took the plane down was the same kind which took down the Malaysian Air flight.
