Missouri Gov.Jay Nixon imposed a curfew in Ferguson just two days ago but authorities on Monday lifted the overnight curfew for that city.

[su_center_ad]MSNBC reports:

The announcement came from Gov. Jay Nixon, who earlier in the day ordered the National Guard to the St. Louis suburb after a week of clashes between police and protesters over the police shooting death of an unarmed black teenager.

Nixon said that the National Guard would have a limited mission and would report to the state Highway Patrol, which took over security in Ferguson on Thursday.

The curfew only angered protesters more. Police threatened journalists with guns and mace. Perhaps if the Ferguson Police Department is more forthcoming and honest in regards to Michael Brown’s shooting death by a police officer, then some sort of trust could possibly be gained, that is, if it’s not too late.

Well now that they have dug themselves so deep in hole that they can no longer see daylight, Missouri law enforcement has decided to stop digging. What lies ahead, including how to rebuild the trust of the community remains either a closely guarded secret or (more likely) something they intend to pull out of their collective buttocks as they go along.
