It’s what you’ve been waiting for: The Donald’s take on the coverage of the aftermath of the Michael Brown killing in Ferguson. Finally, your thirst for Trump can be quenched by comments that make no sense whatsoever.

“This is a racial situation,” Trump said. “It’s not covered that way in the press. It’s not even discussed in the press. They don’t want to discuss it. They stay away from it…

“In fact, Chicago is another situation,” Trump continued. “It’s a very racial situation out there. If you look at what’s going on here and Chicago and other places, the press really seldom talks about it. You looked at it here; as soon as [Captain Ron Johnson] mentioned his black son [in a speech at the Rally for Michael Brown yesterday], the audience went wild in applauded. That’s a very sad situation, very sad for the country.”

“People understand it. In my opinion, the press does not really discuss it. They talk about riots, but they don’t say what’s at the core of the riot. Frankly, it’s a very big problem in this country and it’s a problem that is not discussed or certainly not discussed in any great detail and it has to be.”

One must wonder what media Donald Trump has been consuming.

    Dear Donald:
Nope. EVERY article covered by the press has touched upon the racial implications. You, my dear sir, must have your toupee too tight.

I understood him completely. Being from the Midwest, I know me a dog whistle when I hears one. “People, you know why ‘these people’ are rioting? THEY’RE KNEE-GROWS! That’s what they DO, fer chrissakes! You give one of them KNEE-GROWS an excuse to loot a liquor store, then you act all surprised when they loot a liquor store. And the media won’t talk about WHY they’re rioting, The simple fact is, they’re rioting because they are YOU KNOW WHATs!!!”

Donald Trump is an idiot and a racist and why anyone give him any airtime is a mystery for the ages.

Is this walking waste of skin ever “comprehensible”??

    • Eric Trommater August 18th, 2014 at 1:35 pm

He talks in slogans and of course if you string a few disassociated slogans together they are never going to make sense. “Drink Coke, it’s the one. I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express night. Are you satisfied with your current long distance service?”

“It’s a very racial situation out there.. . .People understand it. In my opinion, the press does not really discuss it. ” I read this as saying race is not being discussed in a way that rich white people can understand.
This brought to mind a quote by Stokely Carmicheal just before his self imposed exile and disassociation with the Black Panthers:
“I maintain that every civil rights bill in this country was passed for white people, not for black people. There has been only a civil rights movement, whose tone of voice was adapted to an audience of liberal whites.”
It all comes back to the central idea that if a person is born free they don’t have to ask for their freedom.

Which, I suppose, is why you can interpret the Donald for those of us in the reality based world!

  7. m2old4bs August 18th, 2014 at 1:39 pm

That is his problem. He should be smoking. It would enlighten him perhaps. But then again, deep thought may be beyond his capabilities.

I think what Trump meant to say is that it is not good that so many people automatically assume it must have been racism just because it was a black victim, white cop, even though race may have been a factor especially given the reputation of the Ferguson police dept.

They don’t HAVE to talk about it.
    It’s implied.
The cop was white. HE shot & killed an
unarmed black kid. How do they portray
this? First they roll out the heaviest artillery
they have to show how they must now protect
the city from those SCARY Black folks. SPLASH
THAT all over TV. Next, find the Thuggiest pics
you can of the victim & SPLASH THAT as well.
Meanwhile, show the SHOOTER in his uniform
receiving an award. L00K! Squeaky Clean!
Muddy up the victim, Prop up the shooter.
They don’t HAVE to talk about it.
    It’s implied.

    • Learjet August 18th, 2014 at 7:07 pm

If the boy and his friend were white and one was shot to death by a black cop, they’d already have the needle halfway in the cop’s vein.

bingo!!!! but, its neverhappened and it won’t!

  11. mcalleyboy August 18th, 2014 at 6:52 pm

The press is fueling this, it makes their careers, they taunt police, they didn’t listen either and get arrested, police abuse right, reporters were told to leave McD’s 13 times but the video claims only a couple times, how does a reporter pack when told so and still film officers, self promotion..dugh!

    • skohayes August 18th, 2014 at 9:15 pm

Why did they need to leave? The officers were acting illegally by telling businesses to shut down.

      • mcalleyboy August 18th, 2014 at 10:18 pm

Police were clearing out the media for their safety, what more is there to report, it’s fueling the fire so to speak of racial tensions. Like I said the reporter was not following police orders in order to get arrested, makes the police look bad and look at the many twists and turns to this story. I-witnesses report what they seen after the gun fire, it looked initially like the young man was shot in the back, in fact several Youtube video’s state that this young man was shot in the back and there was a girl that attested he was shot while running away (she’s a liar)…but Autopsy shows bullet entry from the front and apparently the story of the 6 foot 4″ giant charging the officer is correct, they also have an I-witness to this event, all the other I-witness lied or came after the fact.

      • mcalleyboy October 9th, 2014 at 9:15 pm

Officers shut down business do to unrest, riots, looting, starting fires. Media makes billions fueling these fires, what’s the purpose of having law enforcement if we don’t listen to them, we second guess their authority? Hell IAW the rioters, private citizens and law enforcement shouldn’t carry weapons. I enjoy reading what the media broadcasts but seriously I take it all with a grain of salt, same with witnesses, seriously unreliable on events that occurred.
