    He needs some time to reflect on his actions and beliefs. Maybe a year of community service will give him time to contemplate his stupidity. Or, better yet, regular appointments with his parole officer to discuss his anti-social behavior. And he should be banned from owning a firearm for the rest of his life.

    With the lack of successful prosecutions in any crimes or”accidental” shooting involving gun incidents like this will be more and more frequent.
    The woman who fired a warning shot in the air against her husband whom she had a restraining order against and is now facing 26 years in prison would have probably not even been charged had she shot him dead. Our system of justice has been turned on its head.

      that’s exactly what i said when the story first broke. WTF. he was in her home threatening her, if she had just killed him, he couldn’t argue any different right? her word against his and dead men don’t talk. the restraing order would have cleared her.

        Good points by both of you. Do you think this type of stupidity will encourage a “Make sure he’s dead before calling the cops” reaction ?
        To me, such nonsense seems to encourage a more deadly reaction.

    The clutter of ads on this page made this story almost unreadable – thought I was on Fox News page…anyone else have this problem ?

    Let’s wait for the facts. As it is, for most of you he’s guilty until proven innocent. Much like the Duke lacrosse players…and a certain Mike Brown-shooting cop recently in the news.

    A narrative driven response doesn’t deliver the facts; it only reveals one’s own prejudices, likely obtained through Grievance Studies programs at the local JC.

      The Mike Brown story is hardly proven at this point. And any death of a citizen caused by the police warrants a full and impartial investigation. What do we get instead? Cops investigating themselves. The facts belie your inference.

      We are not a news agency, this is a private site.Liberaland is is left leaning blog and the titles and posts contained within will have a left leaning bias. The overall consencus here, is that stupoid people should not own guns and these folks will be called out here. You are welcome to post a dissenting opinion on the content of the article.

    Yes, I made a typo – the horror! Those that feel the their second amendment rights trump public safety are stupid and deserve to be mocked. I reviewed your FB page before replying to your comment and your stance on gun ownership is obvious. No one, and I mean no one on the site has ever mentioned banning guns except the paranoid gun nuts.
