Be scared.  Be very very scared of the little children coming to America without documentation.

On her weekly radio show yesterday, RNC committeewoman Tamara Scott of Iowa warned that child migrants from Central America may have been “highly trained as warriors” and could “rise up against” U.S. citizens.[su_center_ad]

“When we see these kids, you and I think young kids, we think maybe 12-year-olds, maybe homeschoolers — excuse me, middle-schoolers,” said Scott, who is also Concerned Women for American’s Iowa state director and works as a lobbyist for the conservative group The Family Leader. “But we know back in our revolution, we had 12-year-olds fighting in our revolution. And for many of these kids, depending on where they’re coming from, they could be coming from other countries and be highly trained as warriors who will meet up with their group here and actually rise up against us as Americans.”

A New Low in Stupid! How do these people not die from the toxic fumes their mouths spew?

    • Red Eye Robot August 22nd, 2014 at 12:27 pm

Bad when Republicans say it, Good when Democrats say it

Democrat candidate for US house of representatives Iowa, Pat Murphy (currently serving in the Iowa State House), “We need to make sure that when we’re talking about these children we need to treat them like they’re our children or our grandchildren. If they’re gonna be refugees, which several of them are going to be, we need to make sure that we have—one, we take care of them, and we create a pathway for citizenship and set up education for them so they don’t become the same problem that we’re currently having in the Middle East—that they’ll be terrorists a generation from now.”

      • mea_mark August 22nd, 2014 at 12:34 pm

You really think that is saying the same thing?

        • Red Eye Robot August 22nd, 2014 at 1:12 pm

“If we don’t make them citizens they will become terrorists” is any less egregious than Ms. Scott said? At least Ms. Scott has reality on her side, Consider that a the Nogales ICE processing center found 16 minors under age 18 who were admitted MS13 gang members. that’s 1 processing center, these are real terrorists who have admittedly already killed and tortured people.

            ________

            Nobody said that.

Ms. Scott has reality on her side???

            In what universe??

“These gangs are part of the cultural fabric of the U.S., not Central America,” says John Sullivan, a gang specialist with the Los Angeles County sheriff’s department. “We deport them, and they’re bigger and badder than any gangs there, and they dominate. And now we have areas [in Central America] that are widely destabilized, with a high degree of violence.”

That violence has helped to create waves of refugees, many of them children, who have arrived at the U.S. border.

          • Red Eye Robot August 22nd, 2014 at 3:15 pm

“so they don’t become the same problem that we’re currently having in the Middle East—that they’ll be terrorists a generation from now.” there is the actual quote dispute it. Do you just make this stuff up? The MS13 gang is from El Salvador, they have expanded into Guatemala and Honduras. The obama admin has sighted GANG VIOLENCE in those countries as the reason for the sudden influx of Hondurans, Guatemalans, and Salvadorans crossing the border.

How are Teen Aged gang members from El Salvador illegally crossing the US border part of the “American Fabric”?

          • OldLefty August 23rd, 2014 at 7:58 am

“The history of Central American gang violence dates to the 1980s, when civil wars in El Salvador and Nicaragua sent thousands of people north, in search of refuge. Some of those immigrants found their way into gangs in Los Angeles that wound up seeding drug-related violence back home, often after their members were deported by the United States, analysts say.”These gangs are part of the cultural fabric of the U.S., not Central America,” says John Sullivan, a gang specialist with the Los Angeles County sheriff’s department. “We deport them, and they’re bigger and badder than any gangs there, and they dominate. And now we have areas [in Central America] that are widely destabilized, with a high degree of violence.”

How about we compassionately send people who enter the US illegally back to their homelands and compassionately allow immigration of people who who Compassionately applied, Compassionately followed the law and Compassionately waited their turn?

Disease ridden children are a threat according to some right wing nut jobs. Facts don’t matter. Truth doesn’t matter.

I think you need to distinguish between refugees and immigrants.

  6. Herb Sarge Phelps August 22nd, 2014 at 2:22 pm

Yeah they might Ms. Scott just like the other minority groups we treated like crap until they heard enough about free-dumb, Libertee, and all those other things you probably can’t spell like the Parasite Flea Party is so good at abusing. If you surpress a people a people long enough they will revolt just like in the 18th century when England suppressed the American Colonies and they rebelled. If you want to ensure they will not turn on the U.S. the best way is to give them a fair chance at a piece of the dream and they will be solid citizens more than likely.

Not much different than Liberals calling TEA party members and gun owners terrorists, now is it?

    • Anomaly 100 August 22nd, 2014 at 3:10 pm

Yeah, that’s just terrible. Why would we say such a crazy thing?

    • Herb Sarge Phelps August 22nd, 2014 at 3:21 pm

I don’t call you terrorist, I call you what you are, Foolish Lunatics Endangering America Parasites that are sucking the life’s blood out of our nation. I could list several things to prove my point, but frankly you know them as well as I do. No you are not terrorist because you don’t rate that high, just parasites.

      • ideagal August 22nd, 2014 at 3:50 pm

Give me examples…please. Libs on TV always dodge by saying there are many examples and never give any. They are also known to usually speak in generalities, as you did, with nothing to back it up. So…examples please…and let other readers make their own judgement.

        • Herb Sarge Phelps August 22nd, 2014 at 5:05 pm

Let’s start with your own statement about calling gun owners terrorist. That is not true because many who want reasonable gun control are gun owners. So that shows how you are making false accusations and passing it off as facts. Remember those witch doctor posters at the FLEA Party rallies with Obama as the witch doctor? nothing racist there is it? So there you go now try to avoid that.

      • ideagal August 22nd, 2014 at 4:11 pm

Just reread your screed and noticed you implied conservatives are “parasites”!!. Conservatives are not the parasites. Most of the folks living off the Government teat are Democratic voters…and they vote to make sure the goodies keep coming. We don’t object to a safety net…but welfare, food stamps, school lunch, free this, free that, has become a way of life for generations in too many households. The TEA (Taxed Enough Already) party sprang up because we are getting tired of being the sole support of the Govt. paying for stupid programs (bailouts, subsidies, solar power, studies of shrimp on a treadmill, etc.) that don’t work, supporting the irresponsible and the corrupt, and throwing good money down various rat holes. If you have a job and pay taxes, you should be mad-as-hell too.

        • Herb Sarge Phelps August 22nd, 2014 at 5:18 pm

First you are not being honest. I did not refer to conservatives as parasites, just the FLEA Party types, those who want to send children back to sure death instead of hearing their situations and making humane judgments. Those who side with a man who says he doesn’t recognize the United States Government, or who supports a “news” network that lies and hurts people with their hateful statements.
Not every conservative is a parasite, but the extremist for the Flea Party and the ones who favor corporate rights over the rights of the people are parasites. Sadly, people who lie about what others say are parasites and if the shoe fits, well.

Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said at a Pentagon press briefing yesterday that “because of open borders and immigration issues,” the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) is an “immediate threat.”

Actually, Gen. Dempsey was referring to Europe. http://www.c-span.org/video/?321109-1/briefing-secretary-hagel-general-dempsey

      • Red Eye Robot August 24th, 2014 at 4:26 pm

Yeah, Terrorists will exploit open borders elsewhere but NOT America.

July 25 2012, Rep. Ron Barber (D-Ariz.) to Secretaru of Homeland security Janet Napolitano:” is there any credible evidence that these reports are accurate and that terrorists are, in fact, crossing our southern border with the intent to do harm to the American people?”

Napolitano: “With respect, there have been–and the Ababziar matter would be one I would refer to that’s currently being adjudicated in the criminal courts–from time to time, and we are constantly working against different and evolving threats involving various terrorist groups and various ways they may seek to enter the country”

        • greenfloyd August 24th, 2014 at 10:05 pm

I don’t doubt terrorists would attemp to exploit our (American) borders. Nonetheless your comment was out of context.

  10. ideagal August 22nd, 2014 at 4:01 pm

I saw the photos/videos of some of the “children” that came over the border and were staying in holding areas. Many of the “boys” looked to be in their late teens, at least. There were a number of Guatamalans (probably illegal) at the church where I used to live. They were grown men, probably doing construction work, and they couldn’t have been more than 5′ tall. So we are not talking about hordes of 2-4 year olds. Still, I think Ms. Scott may be getting a little nutty…but you never know! On the other hand, these children are going to cost us a lot in food, shelter, clothing, education,…and jobs. They are here without parents. I know we will be supporting a few with our taxes. I don’t see any bleeding heart liberals offering to take these “sweet little things” into their OWN homes anytime soon…but they are fine with making other people pay the bills for it.

    • liberalMD August 23rd, 2014 at 6:54 am

People who live in southern Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras are mostly of Mayan decent: they tend to be shorter and darker-skinned than most other people of Hispanic origin,

The crime rates in Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador are the highest in the world. Most of the ”training” these children received was not “warrior training” but was probably self-defense training essential for their survival.

The degree of poverty in this area of the world is unfathomable. To give an example, a friend of my mother’s daughter married a young Guatemalan male. This friend always noted that his mother and father never came together to visit their son. When she asked about this, her son-in-law said that they could not afford a door for the house they lived in, so one of his parents had to always be at home to prevent looters from taking their earthly possessions,

  11. pmbalele August 22nd, 2014 at 5:06 pm

People, please watch Tamara Scott-she will be the first to hire some of these Latino kids. Some are turning 16 so eligible to work part time. In fact McDonald is already hiring
these kids paying them minimum. Repubs and TPs are hypocrite. They say one thing but do another. If they hate these kids why are they hiring them then? Repubs and TPs think we are stupid not to know their hypocrisy.

  14. greenfloyd August 23rd, 2014 at 4:31 am

    Republican brain-trust broke, inverted, worthless.

However, there is still no comprehensive US plan, in coordination with our Southern Neighbors to realistically deal with this humanitarian disaster in Central America. Having just discovered a whole American city also held hostage by gangs, guns, drugs and out of control cops along the Mighty Mississippi.

Meanwhile, Central America and parts of Mexico will remain under the control of vast and varied criminal enterprises, most of which depend on continued access to US markets and culture, gangster-culture. All races are involved, in America it’s a love-hate thing and you must read between the lines, feel the beat, know the street.

James Phelps is an assistant professor in the Department of Security Studies and Criminal Justice at Angelo State University in Texas. He notes a reveling antidote about being a cop in a place like Laredo,

If you see a nice Ford F-150 with a covered bed on it and heavily-tinted windows and you’re down in Laredo, Texas, and there’s a ‘Z’ on the back window or a Santa Muerte, you don’t pull them over,” he said. “You’re smarter than that, to pull them over. Even if they blatantly violate the law, you let them go because you don’t know who you’re walking up on. And the closer you get to the border, the worse it is.

  15. liberalMD August 23rd, 2014 at 6:25 am

    Sweetheart, you may be correct.

But what you really need to be concerned about(and which is much more likely to happen) is that these children will be integrated into the public school system and will soak up knowledge like sponges such that they become highly educated and productive citizens. Then one day your boss will call you into the office and will give you a pink slip, as your boss will have found one of these children to be much more competent at your job than you are. You’ll end up being put out to pasture on some farm outside of Clarinda, Iowa.
