What I mean is that it is more than clear to anyone who has followed politics for any length of time, that what we are doing now is not working. There is no question that the Democratic party has failed the country dismally as a resistance party to creeping fascism over the last 30 years, more properly understood these days as being Christofascism. It’s like Chris Hedges says, “We have suffered a slow moving coup by the corporatist and they have won. However, my position should not be confused or misunderstood as saying that people should not get out to vote as it is always true that we should always vote in any election.
What I am saying is that we need to understand that what we have been doing has been ineffective. In fact it is so blatant that we are now a fascist state, which we have been for the last 20 years or so, that even Princeton University, in conjunction with Northwestern University, recently released a study stating we are no longer a democracy but are instead an oligarchy, which is a nice way of saying a fascist oligarchy. Over the last couple of decades we have lost much of our freedoms, especially under the Bush administration, and are continuing to lose more by Republican obstructionism. It must also be understood that when a society has their freedoms taken away from them that such freedoms are not coming back unless they are taken back.
But the hard fact is that right-wing Christofascist are not a group that one can reason with, you cannot negotiate with them, and they are also people who view compromise as a sin punishable by death. And that is eternal death!
So until Americans develop an attitude of we are going to take the country back from the Christofascist by whatever means necessary to achieve such goals, the country will be completely lost. So the question everyone must ask of themselves is what am I willing to do to reclaim our democracy and freedom. Are you willing to write letters to the papers? Are you willing to attend a march? Are you willing to do whatever it takes to prevail? And I would suggest that we look back and see what the founders resolution for that problem was.

You’re joking, right? The Marines were founded in 1775, before the Revolutionary war and have ALWAYS been part of the Navy, as SOLDIERS. Modeled originally on the British. The Army Air Corps became the Air Force AFTER WWII. That isn’t even the beginnings of relevant to the story nor to my comment.
