Being an international sex symbol does not make one a progressive. Brigitte Bardot, 80, has praised France’s far-right leader, Marine La Pen, as being a “modern-day Joan of Arc.”

In an interview with Paris Match magazine to mark the former sex symbol’s 80th birthday, Bardot says Marine Le Pen, leader of the anti-immigration National Front party, is the one person who could “save” France.

“I hope she saves France, she is the Joan of Arc of the 21st century,” Bardot told the magazine. “I am a native Frenchwoman and proud of it. I mourn the fact that my beautiful country has deteriorated in every way. It’s criminal to submit to these depths.”

Bardot has long championed the far-right party. The National Front has become more mainstream in recent years and has proved popular among French voters and challenging the two main parties, the UMP and the Socialists.

Isn’t it funny how having a beautiful heart makes you lovely? Audrey Hepburn was gorgeous until the day she died.

Mark Twain said that after a certain age, you have the face you deserve. He had a great old-man face, full of smile lines. So did Albert Einstein.

Old conservatives often look horrible. All that hate and bitterness can’t be good for your soul.

Have you seen some of the old libs? You know stalwarts like that plastic witch Nancy Pelosi and the horrendous thunder thighs Hillary Clinton?

You can obviously see what a diet of hate gets you!

Ahh, what age can do! Skin sags, arteries harden… especially carotid arteries, depriving the aging brain of sustenance…

you must pay close attention to what LePen actually stands for before falling for the headline. Seems a smarmy way to pretend to get a point about something across. French conservatism is so far removed from the american right that a comparison cannot be used for any practical purpose. Listen to LePen before you respond.

How? Protecting Identity of Native Anglos from a rapid ethnic shift? Oh wait the “more moderate” right wants cheap labor and care about money for the 1% not the regular folk, so they are fine with this multiculturalism.

Even with the rise of those murderous ISIS characters, you libs still don’t want to secure the southern border. Along with those illegals from Central America coming in, drug dealers and Middle Eastern terrorists are also coming across. Remember when they start attacking the big cities where so many of you libs live and you get maimed or killed don’t say you haven’t been warned. You are a bunch of fools!

Wow, did you strain something when you made that leap?

    • jasperjava August 24th, 2014 at 10:06 am

Oh noes! ISIL came from Syria, through Iraq, and is now in Mexico!

Say, did you fail geography in school?

“In negotiating the failed 2007 deal, Republican lawmakers demanded
that President Bush deploy four drones to scan the border, build 105
radar and camera towers, raise the number of Border Patrol agents to
20,000, and erect 670 miles of fencing.

Today, the U.S. has 10 border drones, 300 towers, and 21,394 agents—18,500 of them stationed on the U.S.- Mexico border. Fencing now covers 651 miles of the border, twice the length in 2009, and immigration agents have deported some 1.5 million undocumented workers in the past four years, the most since Dwight Eisenhower was president.”

I know you’re oblivious to facts, Mr. Tarter, but Obama has deported more undocumented aliens than any president since Eisenhower. That is an uncomfortable fact you’re going to have to live with.

Oh No! You mean you hard talking CCW thimble wits won’t protect us? We need a tub-thumping neocon “warrior” to “protect” us? Like Bushco “protected” New York?

“Even with the rise of those murderous ISIS characters…”

Dipsh!t. The terrorist headcount hasn’t changed, only the “flag” they rally under. Why don’t you actually read something, imbecile.

“you libs still don’t want to secure the southern border.”

Man, are you stupid! The southern border has never been more secure, never.

“You are a bunch of fools!”

LOL, says the halfwit who got every single thing wrong.

Seriously? Do you ever read anything or do you just faithfully regurgitate your right wing bumper stickers?

Seems ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend’ with her. The immigrants she does not like are too conservative for her tastes. They frown on animal rights (something she is passionate about) and are also anti-feminist.
