    Seriously? People are criticising them for having a line named after an Egyptian goddess because a terrorist organisation happens to sometimes go by a name that has an acronym spelled the same way (the same organisation also going by IS and ISIL)?

    Isis, the goddess of health, marriage, and love, is a perfectly appropriate name for a line of lingerie. People need to stop being so absurd about things like this.

      Agreed wholeheartedly. Never should a band of fanatics be allowed to appropriate a name for anything, especially something that was around long before they were. The sooner they are blasted into insignificance, the better. Just wish it was that simple. Evil will never prevail, though, and ISIL or whatever name they go by this week has a limited shelf life.

      Exactly! Plus, it really does takes months or years to introduce a new line, from the idea through the marketing. To go back and begin again now with a different name would mean a loss off thousands, or hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not more.

      Isis is a perfectly acceptable name for a lingerie line.

    Sounds to me like the Goddess Isis should stand up to the terrorist and denounce Sharia law. She can be a champion for freedom and human expression and garner some free advertising at the same time. When given lemons …

      Goddess Isis was worshipped for at least five thousand years. I am very sorry to see her name profaned by these murderous fanatics.
