Florida Senator Marco Rubio who, himself, has not been consistent on the immigration issue, hints that President Obama’s actions on immigration could result in a government shutdown.

“There will have to be some sort of a budget vote or a continuing resolution vote, so I assume there will be some sort of a vote on this,” Rubio told Breitbart in an interview published Tuesday. “I’m interested to see what kinds of ideas my colleagues have about using funding mechanisms to address this issue.”…

Aside from the politics of another potential shutdown fight, it’s unclear what “funding mechanisms” Senate Republicans would attach to a continuing resolution that could limit an executive action on immigration. A spokesman for Rubio declined to provide any specifics when reached for comment on Tuesday…

Rubio isn’t the only one to raise the possibility of another government funding fight. In an interview with Politico earlier this month, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) promised that he would use spending bills in similar fashion to force skirmishes with the White House should Republicans retake the upper chamber.[su_sky_ad]

    “We’ll hold the gubmint hostage if ya’ll elect them thar libruls! Cuz ‘Murika and freedom stuff!”

    ter·ror·ist

    ˈterərist/

    noun

    noun: terrorist; plural noun: terrorists

    a person who uses terrorism in the pursuit of political aims.

    synonyms:extremist, fanatic;
    I would say threatening to shut down the government, that hurts the people you’re suppose to be helping, to get what you want, or may I say the special interest groups that put your ass in that seat … makes you a terrorist by the very definition of the word.

    Heh, and here’s my mean and puerile statement on this article…Dear Senator Rubio thanks for constantly flapping your gums and the opportunity to Photoshop this picture horrendously….you know know what I mean.

    Poor Marco. The once and never Repub Presidential front runner has to join the shut down brigade to get anyone to notice that he’s still a Senator.

      Yeah but the “government shutdown” excuse is getting old. He should come up with something new. Maybe he can put a hidden camera in the president’s bedroom and, if he’s performing anything other than the GOP approved, morally acceptable, missionary position, he can threaten to impeach.
      On the other hand, I really shouldn’t give him any ideas. The GOP has no shame, and may see this as a great opportunity to get more media attention.

    Does Rubio’s GOP even know they’ve got about 10 legislative days remaining until FY-15 begins anyway? Does October 1 of every fiscal year ring any bells?

    Your in Marco, there is nothing like being a “full fledged and inconceivably documented American citizen” to power your agenda, Sir…
