Robertson: Robin Williams Committed Suicide Because He Was A Godless ‘Heathen’
People who don’t know God know idols, instead, and are destined for ruin. And that, says Pat Robertson, is what happened to Robin Williams.[su_center_ad]
“You see these very popular people in the media who commit suicide like Robin Williams recently and you say, what is the deal with him? What happened?” Robertson said on “The 700 Club.” “You see, the god of the heathen are idols and everything that you seek in life can ruin you unless that somebody is God himself.”
“You won’t want to commit suicide after you have come to him,” he concluded.

Hey, Pat, aren’t you late for your autopsy?

You think someone would have told him by now, only the good die young.
William August 27th, 2014 at 2:54 pm
Let’s not foget that Pat also stated “God told him Romney would win and serve two terms”.

Pat Robertson…so many years, so many stupid quotes.
Hard to pick a winner, but my personal favorite was when he warned people to beware of false profits like himself:

Scriptural requirements for being a qualifying PROPHET OF GOD is to be 100% accurate in your prophecy.
I fully qualified by prophesying the sun will rise in the east and set in the west, not only for a one time shot – but ’till the end of time.

Pat can kiss my fat white ass. How dare he pass judgement on someone that brought such joy to others.
Larry Schmitt August 27th, 2014 at 3:14 pm
So evidently a true believer has never known the kind of despair that would drive him to suicide? How much you wanna bet that a census of people who committed suicide would turn up the same percentage of Christians as there are still living? He’s so full of crap his eyes are brown.
Suzanne McFly August 27th, 2014 at 3:15 pm
When he finally does die, he will live in a hell where he will have to watch his televised pronouncements on a loop 24/7
Suzanne McFly August 27th, 2014 at 3:17 pm
I also wanted to add a thought, the picture of him on the home page is terrible. Cant he afford a damn nose hair trimmer?

The mortitians will tidy him up.

Hate destroys a person’s appearance. Look at Sarah Palin.
MIAtheistGal August 27th, 2014 at 3:27 pm
I’m sure Robin’s family appreciates his words.

Mr. Robertson, I wish to remind you of the golden rule. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Tammy Minton Haley August 27th, 2014 at 3:44 pm
…how about this one? …”…judge not, that ye be not judged…”…KJV/Matthew 7:1-3

Really? Then perhaps Robertson can explain this. And it better be good. It’s time to tax churches!http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/08/27/fbi-files-link-christian-tvs-paul-crouch-to-italian-mob-palestinian-gun-trafficking/

It’s time to collect a century of back taxes from the churches.

problem number 5432 with the USA religion of saying Jesus.
those who use various variations of the much translated book called the Bible (Patrick’s version being a few books short due to the mounting anger of King James subjects) and are apt to be the loudest vocal support of USA Military might raining down death and destruction on other religions. – Good in the eyes of Jesus, where when they leave the sinfulness of this life of mere mortals to become ‘gods’ themselves with streets of solid gold, all manner of riches that don’t mean diddly squat ’cause there ain’t no 7/11’s; big, huge, unbelievable mansions, all the food in creation to just glutton out on, and not one sh*tter in the whole brite city – not nare a one, not even a porti-john painted gold. May be why folks like Patrick are hanging on to the life of the mortals so desperately for?
vs.
a simple man, who, through his non judging simplicity brought laughter and joy to untold millions.
not a difficult choice at all for me to make.
linann.singh@yahoo.com August 27th, 2014 at 4:03 pm
It seems the people who claim they know god are assholes. Why didn’t your god help him? Why doesn’t your god do anything for the ones who are suffering?
Kick Frenzy August 27th, 2014 at 4:03 pm
“You won’t want to commit suicide after you have come to him,” he concluded.
O RLY?
“Among the most common faith groups in the U.S., Protestants have the highest suicide rate; Roman Catholics are next; Jews have the lowest rate.”
“Followers of religions that strongly prohibit suicide, like Christianity and Islam, have a higher suicide rate than those religions which have no strong prohibition (e.g. Buddhism and Hinduism.)”

This man is just evil. There is no god that would condone the awful things he says and preaches.

How does this fool explain the suicide death of Rick Warren’s son?
mmaynard119 August 27th, 2014 at 9:07 pm
Yes, Pat, but what about the bad things about Robin Williams you promised to tell us?
fancypants August 27th, 2014 at 10:45 pm
that’s right pat Robin had himself cremated too So no further studies could be done. A victory for the Heathen(s) indeed
Dwendt44 August 28th, 2014 at 12:35 am
So Robin Williams was likely an Atheist, but how many, religious or not, would at least consider suicide if they were faced with debilitating disease in particular one that affects the mind?
liberalMD August 28th, 2014 at 2:01 am
What Mr. Robertson and his other holier-than-thou compatriots don’t realize is that they play a much larger role in the incidence of suicide in this country that they would care to ever admit.
