Child Porn Suspect Says He’s ‘Too Pretty For Prison’

A Seattle man who reportedly described himself as “too pretty for prison” while describing molestations he sought to commit now faces child pornography charge. King County prosecutors allege that 38-year-old Queen Anne resident Joel Peyton Glenn collected child rape photos from other men who shared his interest in the sexual abuse of children.

After Google reported that a user had uploaded child pornography through its service, he garnered the attention of investigators.  Seattle detectives linked that account to Glenn and subsequently searched it, according to charging documents.

According to what Senior Deputy Prosecutor Cecelia Gregson told the court, lengthy descriptions of past child abuse authored by Glenn and recovered by investigators show he is a threat to children.

“The defendant is sexually attracted to minor children, collects images of pre-pubescent children being sexually assaulted in order to satisfy his own deviant needs, and actively discusses the sexual abuse of children (and women), in online forums with other like-minded individuals,” Gregson said court papers, including the parenthetical reference to Glenn’s claim that he raped a woman.

According to charging papers, Glenn bragged online about masturbating onto young children he previously had access to through a friend. He is alleged to have defended incest and child abuse, suggesting in a series of long, disturbing email exchanges that fathers ought to be allowed to rape their daughters.

Investigators contend he claimed on several occasions to have anally raped a woman who had passed out after drinking. Glenn purportedly told an online acquaintance he left after the assault, and that the woman never realized the violation.

Online, Glenn painted a disturbing picture of himself.

Prosecutors say Glenn described himself as a retired musician with a “swimmer’s build” and a penchant for “taboo stuff” – chiefly child pornography.

“I like awkward stuff, molesting, stuff you can only feel dirty about,” Glenn said in a message recovered by law enforcement, according to charging papers.

“I’m not looking to (expletive) up someone’s life and I’m too pretty for prison,” he is alleged to have said in another.

On August 19th, police obtained a search warrant and arrived at Glenn’s residence at 6:30 a.m. and seized his computers, then detained Glenn, who is alleged to have admitted collecting child pornography.

Detectives claim to have recovered photos showing children as young as 5 being sexually abused. Gregson said they also seized a quantity of drugs, as well as $1,758 in cash.

Glenn has been charged with possession of child pornography. Initially jailed, he was released after posting $5,000 bail; prosecutors have since won a bail increase to $50,000.

Being pretty on the outside doesn’t fix the ugliness on the inside. But they sure do like pretty boys in prison.  [su_sky_ad]
