Border Patrol Agent Fires At Armed Militia Member, Mistakes HIm For An Immigrant
The Border Patrol says an agent mistakenly shot at a militia member near the Texas-Mexico border while the agent was pursuing a group of immigrants. Later the man identified himself as a militia member.
According to Border Patrol spokesman Omar Zamora, agents pursuing a group of immigrants east of Brownsville on Friday came upon a man holding a long arm near the river. An agent fired multiple shots, but the armed man was not injured.
[su_center_ad]An unknown number of militia members have come to the Texas border following a surge in refugee children crossing the border while fleeing from violence.
Zamora said no other details were immediately available.
According to the Star-Telegram, this month, the Border Patrol warned its agents about militia members after seven of them were initially mistaken for a Texas Department of Public Safety tactical team near Mission.
Who knew this could happen – aside from all of us? Militia members are playing policeman while getting in the way of agents trying to do their jobs.
And then there’s that little detail of some of the militia members looking like groupies for ISIS.

The only clause in Article 2 that could be pertinent is “The President shall be commander in chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the militia of the several states” . Are you claiming the President has commanded these rambos to interfere with federal agents? Art. 2 certainly doesn’t empower them to act like a bunch of vigilantes.
