The law firm hired by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is billing $7.3 million for handling bridgegate, a tab the taxpayer will pay.

Gibson Dunn billed the state $784,459 for May, June and July, NJ.com said.

The firm had already been paid $6.52 million on the legal bills through April.

Christie hired Gibson Dunn in January after his top aides blocked access lanes to the busy span in an apparent act of political revenge against the mayor of Fort Lee for not endorsing him.[su_sky_ad]

It’s too bad that the citizens of N.J. cannot sue Christie for the payments after he loses. Maybe Shel Adelson will chip in!

That makes me wonder if we could sue him… hmm…

Perhaps there are opportunities to recover funds after his trial?

I have no idea how something like that gets done, but it sounds logical to me. 🙂

So much for the party of fiscal responsibility.

Apparently he’s only fiscally responsible to his own wallet.

It’s really bizarre to me that the President’s friggin’ suit makes more noise than what this corrupt, viscous and vile man has done. Now he gets to use taxpayer money to defend himself and yet it’s the libs taking all the “free stuff”? What a dink. He and LePage are made for each other.
He had the gall to come to Becky’s Diner which is a popular place to eat and I found it ridiculously odd that there was a single table of three old ladies sitting there. So, either people wanted nothing to do with them, which Portland is a Dem/left leaning Indie City or they orchestrated it. That place is always packed. I hope both get voted out.

Blame the people who made a big stink about a simple traffic jam…

It’s abuse of power that was the issue, here have a cookie.

Maybe abuse of power, maybe politics, maybe nothing… We’ll see…

OMG. It’s one of our country’s busiest bridges. Imagine if it had to be evacuated.

      • Bob Cronos August 31st, 2014 at 11:59 pm

That’s what I thought when occupy was blocking bridges…

        • Anomaly 100 September 1st, 2014 at 8:45 am

We crossed the bridge. Big difference. Also, none of us were Governors of the state.

You’re so partisan you can’t see straight.

Partisan? You’re posting on a site called Liberaland for crying out loud!

            That’s funny. So are you.
