Saudi’s King Abdullah expressed alarm about ISIS reaching Europe and America, but didn’t mention a timeline for striking in his own backyard.

While not mentioning any terrorist groups by name, King Abdullah’s statement appeared aimed at drawing Washington and NATO forces into a wider fight against the Islamic State group and its supporters in the region. Saudi Arabia openly backs rebels fighting Syrian President Bashar Assad, but is concerned that the breakaway al-Qaida group could also turn those very same weapons on the kingdom.

“I am certain that after a month they will reach Europe and, after another month, America,” he said at a reception for foreign ambassadors Friday.

Official Saudi media carried the king’s comments early Saturday.

“These terrorists do not know the name of humanity and you have witnessed them severing heads and giving them to children to walk with in the street,” the king said, urging the ambassadors to relay his message directly to their heads of state.[su_sky_ad]

He thinks providing the American Neo-Cons with talking points for the Sunday talk shows is doing both.

So, let his country front all of the monies needed to fight these guys. We did (more than) our share with the Gulf War and the Iraq War. Let’s include Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar in the mix as well. We’ll supply arms, they supply funding for it as well as their own manpower. #TiredOfWar

Why don’t the governments in these countries fight their own wars?

Wait a minute, doesn’t Saudi Arabia still have public beheadings as a form of execution?

Looks like King Abdullah is soiling his sheet over the chickens coming home to roost.

  14. Dave August 31st, 2014 at 4:23 pm

Yea, the Saudis should know when something strikes the U.S. they’ve had practice at that ….didn’t they…cough cough 9/11 cough cough.

  15. JamesMMartin August 31st, 2014 at 4:36 pm

Now that we are not paying for so much Saudi oil, he just wants to ratchet up a problem he had a big part in creating. Ever since the House of Saud placated fundamentalists in his country by allowing Wahhabists to teach everything in the public schools, is it any wonder that a large majority of 9/11 bombers were born there? How ironic that the only thing separating ISIS from the Saudis is Iran. The only reason the House of Saud survives is that it creates an illusion of having everything one could want, bought with oil profits. The Bush family used the U.S. military as mercenaries, trading oil for proxy battles in the region. We keep creating our own crises.

Since John McCain is such a good friend to ISIS I wonder if he knows when ISIS will come to the US?

It seems it has slipped John McCain’s mind that he, John McCain, wanted to give ISIS military weapons. Also too, took photos with ISIS.
