In Akron, Ohio on Sunday, protesters against gun violence  gathered, then armed counter-protesters confronted them – or as they would put it, to”‘educate” them. At least one of the female protester’s family members was a victim of domestic violence.

[su_center_ad]The armed Open Carry protesters were not well received.

I’m sure the woman who was a victim of domestic violence really needed to be schooled by Open Carry activists. This jaw dropping message is from a Confederate-loving, Open Carry dork, who called for “illegal immigrants’ to be gunned down at the border.

Kroger-OC

I sure hope he never “compliments” a woman.

Why do these armed men insist on going into areas where they are not wanted or needed? All we have to do for gun sense laws to be implemented is to sit back and continue to let them be their own worst enemies.

But, according to them it was a success!

These people will never understand what gun safety really means.

    • BriKuz September 2nd, 2014 at 3:35 pm

That’s why my daughter doesn’t shoot, yet… not a good idea to give ANYONE a tool that they cannot CARRY, let alone control properly. Almost as bad are the asshole guys who give unsuspecting women massive magnum revolvers and letting them fire, recoiling into the poor woman’s head. Have to admit, there are complete idiots on BOTH sides of the debate.

  2. NW10 September 1st, 2014 at 10:37 am

I think we’ve found Senator McCain’s army against ISIS. Let’s send these open carry gun loons over to Iraq, and they can finally be the good guys with guns for once.

    • BriKuz September 2nd, 2014 at 3:37 pm

Not OUR business to be fighting ISIS elsewhere… perhaps we should STOP sticking our nose in other people’s business for the profit of the US defense industry? Now, if ISIS happens to come HERE… well, they probably will end up doing the bomb thing as opposed to shooting someplace up, so not sure that my lawfully carried firearms would help with that.

The biggest crime is that men like this actually require the brightest minds in the military to answer to them…

  4. uzza September 1st, 2014 at 10:49 am

If there’s anything in the world that’s sacred it’s a parent’s memory of their dead child. They disrespect that, but demand we respect their ‘rights’? As if.

    • Cal S. September 2nd, 2014 at 2:42 pm

So you’ve thrown away all of your kitchen knives, pillows, ropes, shovels, hammers, (on and on), and you no longer own a car, right? Because if you haven’t, then you’re disrespecting every parent’s memory of their child killed by any of those means.

Stop pretending guns are so evil. Your car is amongst a family of the most wide-spread killers in the world. How morally superior do you feel now?

      • uzza September 2nd, 2014 at 10:48 pm

A tiny bit superior since you’ve demonstrated to everyone how you lack the basic quality of empathy that separates humans from lower life forms, but not too much, since you’ve also proven you lack the mental capacity to even
understand the topic at hand–by scribbling some deranged fantasy about guns, that you seem to think has something to do with it, and then free associating a pathetic simulacrum of logic worthy of a drooling schizophrenic. Like the pinworms in a diseased rectum, you don’t rise to a level one could feel superior to, and the feeling you arouse is merely pity.

  5. Guy Lauten September 1st, 2014 at 11:17 am

this idiocy will continue until one of them is put down. personally I hope that will happen soon.

    • Rob September 2nd, 2014 at 2:35 pm

Typical libtard. Wishing death on a fellow American just because you disagree with them. You are a disgusting excuse for a human.

  6. tiredoftea September 1st, 2014 at 12:02 pm

“I sure hope he never “compliments” a woman.” Or, if he does, she’s armed and as tolerant as he is!

  7. Denise September 1st, 2014 at 1:06 pm

Can’t we send these domestic terrorists to the Middle East And Africa to deal with their cousins in arms? This is how youl show your a man, by war, not parading through tiwns and businesses pretending to be tough, when deep down, you’re a wuss!

    • Cal S. September 2nd, 2014 at 2:39 pm

Well, clearly not through superior knowledge of English grammar, that’s for sure.

So, by your logic, should we then demand that we send everyone who believes with unfaltering conviction in the freedom of speech of the individual to countries like China, Iran, and North Korea? I mean, obviously the only way you can appropriately exercise your freedom is to be sent to a place that has none or is openly hostile to it. No? How is it different?

  8. lynchie September 1st, 2014 at 1:49 pm

How come unarmed black men are shot and killed without committing a crime or like the teen who was killed carrying a toy gun in a store, yet these lunatics get a pass because they are white.

    • BriKuz September 1st, 2014 at 3:24 pm

That is part of WHY the Ohio Carry people were there… we ALL need to fight this incorrect assumption that a black man (or woman) legally carrying a firearm is cause for a hail of gunfire.

I guess MDA’s idea of making an overreaching 911 call to report someone with a gun cost Mr. Crawford.

      • lynchie September 1st, 2014 at 4:40 pm

What a crock of shit. You were not there protesting the shooting of a black man you were there with your imitation penis. Keep your gun at home or join the armed forces and go to Afghanistan and show me how tough you are. 2nd amendment my left nut. You just want to posture and show your inner toughness. I call bullshit

        • BriKuz September 2nd, 2014 at 3:30 pm

I have been protesting Mr. Crawford’s death all over the internet. I am not close enough to Beavercreek to protest in person. I have already DONE time in the armed forces, was there for Gulf One (though I’m not too keen on ANY of these foreign wars we have been getting into since at LEAST WWII.) As for toughness, no need to prove that to ANYONE… I really couldn’t care any less what others think of me, as long as my wife is pleased with me as a husband to her and father to our children, and my boss is happy with the work i do and keeps paying me.

      • Candide Thirtythree September 1st, 2014 at 9:20 pm

god you are foul, go away monster and take your love of violence and bloodshed with you.

My love is for peace, harmony, and being one with nature on my little piece of this planet. Of course, I also understand that violence, such as butchering a chicken or cutting down a weed is sometimes necessary.

      • CharlieAdamsInKY September 2nd, 2014 at 1:58 pm

Seeing as how the people who made the call were RIGHT-WINGERS, you’re just another TeaPubliKKKlan LIAR, pulling shit out of your ass because otherwise you got nothing.

        • R.J. Carter September 2nd, 2014 at 2:06 pm

“911 dispatch. What is your emergency.”

“Yes, I’d like to report a scary person with a gun.”

“Certainly ma’am. We’ve noted your location, and we’ll send someone right out. By the way, just for the report, may I please ask you your political affiliation and for whom you voted in the 2012 elections?”

          • CharlieAdamsInKY September 12th, 2014 at 10:32 am

All of which has absolutely nothing to do with this attempt to reframe
this specific incident as a “leftist, anti-gunner” making the call.

          • R.J. Carter September 12th, 2014 at 10:42 am

All of which has absolutely everything to do with your assumption about the caller’s politics.

          • CharlieAdamsInKY September 16th, 2014 at 5:28 pm

Are you an idiot, or another paid liar?

        • Cal S. September 2nd, 2014 at 2:33 pm

Because there are no African-American gun owners. Not a single one. Got it.

Actually, there were quite a few black slave owners in the south, several of whom supported the Confederacy financially. All African-American gun-owners are clearly descendents of these slave owners therefore, not responsible citizens that have made a responsible decision to exercise their constitutional right.

          Nope.

          • Beentheremovedaway September 6th, 2014 at 2:56 pm

Largest slave owning plantation in Virgina was owned by a free black man.. We should look for his ancestors, see if they will offer reparations??

          • Cal S. September 6th, 2014 at 3:05 pm

            Right?

          • CharlieAdamsInKY September 12th, 2014 at 10:32 am

All of which has absolutely nothing to do with the attempt to reframe
this specific incident as a “leftist, anti-gunner” making the call. Is there ANY honesty or ethics left in the right wing (that’s a rhetorical question, by the way; the answer is “no”.)

          • Cal S. September 12th, 2014 at 5:32 pm

Do you just go around copying & pasting your previous posts? That’s so original.

          • CharlieAdamsInKY September 16th, 2014 at 5:27 pm

When sites are flooded by so many scum-sucking right-wing low-lifes that it would take me hours to try and type a reply to each, yes. Especially when the same comment can just as easily apply to every one of the TeaPubliKKKlan scum.

          • Cal S. September 16th, 2014 at 6:06 pm

And yet we’re the party of hate. It’s suddenly so clear to me…

          • CharlieAdamsInKY September 17th, 2014 at 1:12 pm

Glad you’re beginning to see the light. Now, as soon as y’all can learn to quit playing that “Pity me the poor victim how dare them big, bad lib’ruls talk BACK to me ” game you TeaPubliKKKlanners are so fond of, maybe we can start having REAL “discussions”. But I’m not holding my breath.

          • Cal S. September 18th, 2014 at 11:01 am

Yeah, why don’t you make it historically accurate and call yourself a DemoKKKrat?

I guess I see your point, after all. I mean, it was the Tea Party’s founder that said, regarding Barack Obama, that at least our first African-American President is “Light-skinned…and has no Negro dialect unless he wanted to have one.”

Or was that was Harry Reid?…

        • BriKuz September 2nd, 2014 at 3:26 pm

Mike Malloy (far-left, progressive radio host) said “I guess what I’ll do if I’m ever in that situation and I see one of these half-witted yahoos walking in with a weapon, high-caliber rifle like that, I’ll just put on a berserk act.I will just start screaming Gun! Gun! Gun! Watch out, everybody hit the deck! Guns! Guns! Everybody! And then dial 911 and I will say, shots fired, which will bring every g**-damned cop within 15 miles. And then the half-wits with the long guns are going to panic and they’re going to run out of the store and if that rifle isn’t shouldered properly, the cop is going to take a look at that and put a bullet right in their forehead.” That sounds like swatting (and similar to what happened to Mr. Crawford) to me! Granted, the call may have been some ass-hat right-wing racist fool (there ARE some of them in the pro-RKBA groups, as well) I really don’t know, but I DO know that some progressives have been advocating for exactly that. as for “TeaPubliKKKlan LIAR,” I am NOT a Republican, nor a Tea Party member, nor a member of the KKK (or even a member of the NRA) It is unwise to make assumptions about a person without enough input… (kinda like some ass-hat cop did with regards to Mr. Crawford!)

          • CharlieAdamsInKY September 12th, 2014 at 10:30 am

All of which has absolutely nothing to do with your attempt to reframe this specific incident as a “leftist, anti-gunner” making the call. Spread it as thick as you want, you still lied.

      • lynchie September 6th, 2014 at 6:55 pm

Racist arnt ya? Much like the anti gun commentor in the article.

      Why bring race into this?

      • lynchie September 6th, 2014 at 6:54 pm

  10. NMAXXS September 1st, 2014 at 2:39 pm

So, these asshat gunslingers are FOR gun violence?

    • BriKuz September 1st, 2014 at 3:21 pm

I don’t know about everyone in that group, but many DO protest the killing of a young man “Mr. Crawford) due to a “good citizen” making an inflammatory 911 call about a man with a gun. As for being FOR gun violence, I think that would be a misrepresentation of most of the protester’s thought process. The idea is that a plastic “No Guns” sign does NOT keep a psycho with a gun out, only a law abiding citizen.

  11. Shades September 1st, 2014 at 2:44 pm

They think they changed some minds, huh? I bet they also thought Romney would win in a landslide.

    • BriKuz September 1st, 2014 at 3:18 pm

Actually, a good number of 2A (and 1A, and gay, etc) supporters thought Romney was just as bad a choice for Pres as Obama. As for changing some minds, my wife and I have managed to get about 20-30% of antis we talk to to end up getting their CHLs and carrying concealed. (Even more have at least taken a class on firearms to ensure that, even if they never OWN or CARRY, they at least will be able to handle a firearm safely should some odd need arise)

      • Candide Thirtythree September 1st, 2014 at 9:18 pm

you lying piece of garbage, you are the enemy of the USA and one day your kind will be extinct, that day can’t come soon enough.

        • BriKuz September 2nd, 2014 at 3:33 pm

Is there any logic in you, or is your sole source of self-justification found in denigrating others with no rational basis in fact? Who, pray tell, will casue the extinction of “my kind,” whatever that means?

          • Beentheremovedaway September 6th, 2014 at 2:48 pm

This is who they are, this is what they do!
            Defies logic and reason!

  12. madashellnow September 1st, 2014 at 4:18 pm

Typical– “Don’t confuse me with the fact, my mind is made up.” Has anybody ever seen a gun shoot someone by itself? The problem is the person holding the gun. Why is there no protest, riot, or looting when a black person kills a cop? Somehow that is conveniently ignored.
Does anyone remember 23 year old Detective Melvin Santiago? He was a Jersey
City police officer who was ambushed and shot to death just over a month ago, on
July 13th. Santiago was white. His killer, Lawrence Campbell, was black. Does
anyone recall Obama appearing before national television and calling for justice
for Officer Santiago’s family? Does anyone recall Eric Holder rushing to Jersey
City to see that justice was done?
    How about Officer Jeffrey
Westerfield. He was a Gary, Indiana police officer who was shot to death last
month on July 6th. Westerfield was white. His killer, Carl LeEllis Blount, Jr.
was black. Where was Obama? Where was Holder? Or Officer Perry Renn? He was an
Indianapolis, Indiana police officer who was shot to death last month on July
5th, the day before Officer Westerfield was killed. Officer Renn was white. His
killer, Major Davis, was black. I don’t recall any mention by Obama about the
untimely death of Officer Renn. And, I doubt that Eric Holder rushed to
Indianapolis to make sure justice was done. Or, maybe I just missed
    it.
Vermillion Parish Deputy Sheriff Allen Bares was gunned down by two
men just last June 23rd in Louisiana. Deputy Bares was white. His two killers,
Quintlan Richard and Baylon Taylor, were black. Was Obama outraged? Did Eric
Holder rush to Louisiana to make sure that the family of Deputy Bares found
justice? Detective Charles Dinwiddie of the Killeen (Texas) Police Department
was murdered by Marvin Lewis Guy, a black male. Officer Dinwiddie was white.
This happened on May 11th, just over two months ago. I don’t even recall seeing
anything about that on the news. Certainly, the white citizens in Killeen
didn’t take to the streets to loot and burn businesses. Again, I don’t recall
any mention by Obama or Holder.
Then, there is Officer Kevin Jordan of
the Griffin, Georgia Police Department. He was gunned down just two months ago
on May 31st. Officer Jordan was black. His killer, Michael Bowman, was white.
This was a white man murdering a black police officer. Where was Jesse Jackson?
Where was “The Reverend” Al Sharpton? Was there looting and burning on the
streets of Griffin, Georgia? No. In fact, I don’t recall hearing about this one
in the news, as well. Why? You can draw your own conclusions.
    Over the
past 90 days, there have been five reported deaths of police officers by gunshot
in the US. Of those, four were white officers who were murdered by black men.
Did I miss something? Oh, yes, now, I remember. Nothing done or said by our
    great leader, or his henchman, Holder. No rioting and looting in the streets;
no calling for justice for the officers who were murdered. That’s it. That’s
    the difference.

    • ChrisVosburg September 1st, 2014 at 4:37 pm

      tl;dr

    • JMax September 1st, 2014 at 5:22 pm

      “Did I miss something?”

Apparently you did. You missed the part where the murdered police officers were not unarmed citizens shot, killed, or otherwise abused by someone with legal authority in a town or towns with a pattern of such abuse.

    • Elliot J. Stamler September 1st, 2014 at 5:54 pm

You are absolutely right and as a racism-hating white centrist/moderate I declare it is proof of: l-the pusillanimity of leftist police-hating liberals, 2-the overt black racism that is the majority of racism in America today albeit amongst a minority of all American blacks; 3-the disgusting refusal of any prominent black leaders to denounce such black racism and such black racists as Al Sharpton who is a professional demagogue, hustler, and utter fraud–and is NOT a legally ordained minister.

      • CharlieAdamsInKY September 2nd, 2014 at 1:56 pm

Your FIRST LIE was when you claimed yourself as a “racism-hating … centrist/moderate”. And it went downhill from there. TeaPubliKKKlanner LIAR, end of story.

          • CharlieAdamsInKY September 12th, 2014 at 10:35 am

You’re STILL a liar. If there had been any question about it, your attempt to fall back on the “calling me out on my racism is the REAL racism” argument clinched it. Eff you and all the rest of your TeaPubliKKKlanner cabal.

    • SWS September 1st, 2014 at 9:24 pm

Good thing background checks are for the people holding the guns and not on the guns themselves.

    • greenfloyd September 1st, 2014 at 11:52 pm

While I don’t abide by your inference regards Obama and Holder, you make the point, too many people are dying from gun violence. Nonetheless, according to the FBI, the number of police killed in 2013 (27) was 44% fewer than 2012 (49). On the other hand it’s estimated about 400 people a year are killed by police, although this number is hotly contested due to very strange and inconsistent reporting criteria across the country.

Why are pro 2nd A supporters always viewed as possibly being violent? In order to be a legal gun owner you have to be law abiding. I know I can safely say that pro 2nd A supporters are anti-violence in all forms and not just anti-gun violence. Our focus as a country should be against the criminal.

    • Robert Fitzgerald January 31st, 2015 at 5:34 pm

They are not seen that way my friend, that is why the left wing bigots have to do their best to portray them that way. It’s not easy for them to strip people of their rights unless they first demonize.

  18. Danny Ray September 7th, 2014 at 11:05 pm

When a Muslim commits an act of terrorism we are automatically told you cannot blame all Muslims for the acts of a few.
When a black thug rapes and murders someone we are automatically told you cannot blame all Blacks for the acts of A few.
So why is it okay to blame all 100 million gunowners for the acts of a few,?

  19. Robert Fitzgerald January 31st, 2015 at 5:32 pm

Liberalnd says it all. LOL!!! The dorks are the writers and they are clueless. These people obviously do need to be educated. Areas where people carry are far safer than where they do not, that is a statistical fact. Plano Texas for example, is arguably the safest place on Earth. Places with heavy gun control are the worst for violent crime. You have the right to feel how you want. You have the right to not like it when others carry guns. You do not have the right to force your beliefs on others, ESPECIALLY when your beliefs are not founded in fact. The site not only perpetuates bigotry, but openly endorses racism. If I didn’t know better I would have sworn this was right wing satire. The best thing is that crazy is a good form of birth control. People who buy into this must login during rec time at the state hospital.
