CeeLo Green Tweets That It’s Only Rape If The Person Is Conscious, Then Deletes Tweets
According to Buzzfeed, singer CeeLo Green Green took to his Twitter account to defend himself shortly after pleading no contest to charges that he slipped a woman the drug ecstasy in her drink. Green wrote that rape was only possible when the victim was/is conscious..

“People who have really been raped REMEMBER!!!”
“If someone is passed out they’re not even WITH you consciously! so WITH Implies consent.”
On Monday, Green’s Twitter account was active again:
“Let me 1st praise god for exoneration fairness & freedom! Secondly I sincerely apologize for my comments being taken so far out of context.”
“I only intended on a healthy exchange to help heal those who love me from the pain I had already caused from this. Please forgive me as it..”
“…was your support that got me thru this to begin with. I’d never condone the harm of any women. Thank you.”
Green faced one felony drug charge, but prosecutors claimed there was a lack of evidence which led to no rape charges being filed, but he was still sentenced to three years of probation, plus 45 days of community service.

CeeLo’s TBS series “The Good Life” was canceled Tuesday after one season, according to Deadline. The site adds that the network has already removed the show from its website.[su_sky_ad]

Let’s see, he applies the validity of rape to one’s consciousness? Then goes on to say that he was taken out of context to then offer an aopolgy.
An apology is only as good as the sincerity behind it, and I didn’t buy any of his faux-contrition.

used to have respect for him, even enjoyed his performance on American Dad…however even he should be aware of how f***ed up his own mentality is these days…the one thing that’s strange is that ecstacy itself doesn’t cause one to just have sex with anyone, tbh every time i’ve ever taken it, it’s to enhance light and pattern effects in videogames n’ enjoy music…it doesn’t exactly drive one to a sexual place mentality wise, though one could argue that the drug would possible make someone much more malleable than normal, and to that i would agree, especially if the dosage is high enough…it is an empathogen after all
